June 26 began with a missile attack on the capital of Ukraine. Several rockets reportedly hit Kiev in early hours.The Russian Ministry of Defence is yet to comment of the strikes.
The missile strikes were carried out on the Shevchenko district in the center of Kiev. It is reported that the capital was hit by at least four missiles. According to some reports, at least 14 missiles hit the city. According to Yuriy Ignat, a Ukrainian Air Force spokesman, Kiev was hit with Russian X101 missiles from Tu-95 and Tu-160 aircraft which took off from Astrakhan and the launch of missiles took place over the Caspian Sea.

Russian missiles hit the facilities of the military machine-building plant Artyom. The military plant was damaged.
At the same time, the attack hit a civilian house located nearby. The building in the residential complex “Lviv Quarter” was also hit by a missile during another attack on April 29. Then, the first floors of the high-rise building on the left side were hit. Today, the missile hit the right side of the building.
According to the local reports, civilians were evacuated from this house months ago due to its location near the military facility. Videos from the spot confirm that no civilians were seen leaving the building after the strike.

However, according to the city mayor Mr Klitschko, 25 residents were evacuated from the house, four people were hospitalized, including a seven-year-old girl who was pulled out from under the rubble.
A few videos showing the evacuation of the girl were actively spread by Ukrainian media. Immediately after the attack, the notorious Ukrainian propagandist Anton Gerashchenko appeared on the spot. He miraculously found an expired Russian passport of a woman who was allegedly leaving in the house and who was hospitalized. He added that her husband was believed to have been killed in the attack.
Thus, there is a chance that the civilian building was empty during the attack, no civilians were injured or killed and the Kiev regime is again spreading fake staged reports as it has been doing since the beginning of the war in Ukraine years ago. Unfortunately, if the reports of Ukrainian media are true then it is not clear why the local authorities did not evacuate dozens of civilians from the house located in the dangerous area.
The air defence systems in the Ukrainian capital confirmed their incapacity. Several missiles were reportedly intercepted, however the targets were hit. One of the videos showed a falling fragment of a faulty Ukrainian missile in Kiev, which was aimed to shoot down Russian cruise missiles.
The Russian military has previously warned the Kiev regime that the strategically-important military facilities including in the Ukrainian capital will be targeted if the Armed Forces of Ukraine deployed in the Donbass region do not stop attacks on civilians in the city of Donetsk and nearby settlements.
The Kiev regime continues to sacrifice the security of the Ukrainians in different regions and did not stop terrorist attacks on the settlements in the DPR and LPR which are only aimed at threatening the local civilians.
On June 26, the AFU hit the village of Stakhanov in the LPR with another Tochka-U missile. At least 9 houses were destroyed. No casualties were reported.

According to the DPR representative office in the JCCC, the AFU have fired more than 200 shells from BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launchers, 155, 152 and 122-mm cannon artillery, as well as 120-mm mortars on the territory of the Republic.
13 settlements of the Republic were targeted. As a result of the shelling, 2 civilians were injured. 21 residential buildings and 1 civil infrastructure facility were damaged.
The Russian attack on the Ukrainian capital could be a response to the recent strike of the AFU on the military hospital in the Donbass which was carried out by the recently supplied US-made HIMARS. Russian, DPR and LPR servicemen were treated there as well as wounded civilians.
At least two people were killed and several others were injured, according to Russian military reporters. However, the real number of casualties was not officially revealed.

Agreed. One can only hope that USA stops being afraid, and will hand over weapons to Ukraine that can reach the Russian capital too. We see this cowardly way of fighting the russians do. They are afraid to fight the Ukrainians man to man. Because like in the beginning of the war, they then get a severe beating and they know it.
So now they are cowardly just shooting from behind several hundreds of kilometers away at the populated Ukrainian areas with rockets, then with artillery destroying the cities and razing them to the ground and afterwards conquer the shattered almost flattened ruins that were once prospering ukrainians cities. That’s how the russians fight this war now. Shooting at Kiev even though there are no russian troops at its outskirts is a war crime according to international law. Btw. I am not negating that Ukraine is shelling Donetsk and lots here will say that then that’s a war crime too but no: Shelling Dontesk it’s Ukraine shelling ukrainian territory. It is like USA doing weapon tests in Nevada. That’s not war crime. If you beat your own car with a baseball bat then that’s not a crime. If you do so with the car of your neighbor then that’s for sure a crime. THAT’s the DIFFERENCE !!
