For the first time in several weeks, the ISIS-linked news agency, Amaq, released videos of the ongoing clashes between the terrorist group and the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the middle Euphrates Valley.
One of the videos, which were released on February 12, shows ISIS fighters defending their positions north of the town of al-Baghuz al-Fawqani, near the border with Iraq.
In the second video, ISIS fighters can be seen launching two unidentified anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs) at gatherings of SDF fighters in al-Baghuz al-Fawqani. Both missiles hit their targets.
Last week, the SDF launched its final attack on the ISIS-held pocket in the Euphrates Valley. According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), 19 fighters of the Kurdish group and 27 terrorists have been killed in the clashes since then.
Local observers believe that the battle will end within a few days, especially that the SDF managed to capture the terrorist group’s last positions inside al-Baghuz al-Fawqani.
