ISIS Pulling Its Strongests Units To Deir Ezzor For Last Stand - Russian Military

ISIS terrorists are pulling their strongest units to the province of Deir Ezzor preparing for the last stand against the Syrian Army, supported by the Russian Aerospace Forces. ISIS is going to defend their area near the city of Deir Ezzor as government forces push to lift the ISIS siege from it.

Syrian government forces supported by Russian Aerospace forces are swiftly pushing from three directions towards Deir Ezzor at the moment. The foothold around the city is the last stronghold of terrorists on Syrian soil,” General Sergey Rudskoy, spokesman for the Russian General Staff, said on Monday during a press briefing in Moscow. “The remaining forces are heading there. According to our data, militants from Mosul moved there and the most battle-ready units from Raqqa,” Rudskoy stated.

He also said that despite the withdrawal of the major part of ISIS forces from Raqqa, the “so-called Syrian Democratic Forces, supported by the US and allies” are still unable to capture it after a three-month siege.

Rudskoy added that the recently encircled ISIS-held town of Uqayrabat will likely be liberated in the near future. The Russian general emphasized the role of Syrian General Suheil al-Hassan and the Syrian Arab Army Tiger Forces as well as the Russian Aerospace Forces in the succes in central Syria.

I am sure that the SAA and Russian planners will have a plan to retake Thardah mountain and its environs so as to bolster the defence of the SAA in Deir Ezzor.
Perhaps this would be a suitable proving ground for a few dozen of the ‘Mother of all Bombs ‘. :)

    • Thegr8rambino

Father of all bombs but yes definitely:))

      • FlorianGeyer

I stand corrected, yes, The Father of all Bombs :)

    • You mean those thermobaric thingies?
      Uhmm…. isn’t a few dozen kinda …. overkill?

      • Mauro Craizer

One for every mile around Deir EzZor, better safe than sorry. :)
Those planes should have a label “Fast Desert Kebab Maker”.
This time,as for Deir EzZor, IS rats are not behind civilian human shields, it’s not like Mosul, Raqqa and other towns, this time they have to expose themselves if they want serious attack, RUAF and SYAF are waiting…

        • Uhm…. there are still over 100,000 civilians – and beautiful babies – there! Be careful – just exploding ONE of those things in the desert and not killing even a single bad guy – ended the Angolan civil war…..

They just showed them what this thing could do and said “We’ve got another one!” (And EVERYBODY went home.)

      • FlorianGeyer

        Not really :)

        • ….. You American?

          • FlorianGeyer

            Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo :)

          • Ah haah….. one of those spineless Yankee allies that you’re so gung-ho to drop a multitude of thermobaric bombs on Syria!…??

            Am I right this time?
If you really want to drop them AND you want to drop a LOT of them – I could mention a few far better deserving cities?

Washington DC. New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Berlin…
            (I kindly left out …. Ottawa.) :-E

          • FlorianGeyer

I would only wish any thermobarics to be used in Syria against ISIS/AlNusra targets that are free of civilians . Thardah mountain being a prime example.

          • :-)) …. Let’s not get carried away – them rotten bastids is on the run.

          • FlorianGeyer

Just one for a start to see what the results are :) ?

          • One is good.

          • Wahid Algiers

            Your nickname sounds german.

          • FlorianGeyer

It is but I am not. FlorianGeyer was a Teutonic Knight who fought alongside the Peasant Classes in their struggle against oppression during the Middle Ages

    • Ronald

We don’t need to level the mountain , or cause needless damage to the civilians or the SAA , by the way things are rolling , the top command has a plan , and it will work .

    • US inventory of MOABs is 15. I’m not sure Russia has a few dozen FOABs to use.

      • FlorianGeyer

Thats assuming the US has not ‘lost’ any :)

  • Thegr8rambino

I have a feeling that it won’t be enough and daesh will be overrun and SAA winzzz :)))

  • He also said that despite the withdrawal of the major part of ISIS forces from Raqqa, the “so-called Syrian Democratic Forces, supported by the US and allies” are still unable to capture it after a three-month siege.

    “Kill box

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In weaponry, a Kill Box is a three-dimensional target area, defined to facilitate the integration of coordinated joint weapons fire.[1][2][3]

It is a joint forces coordination measure enabling air assets to engage surface targets without needing further coordination with commanders and without terminal attack control. The space is defined by an area reference system, but could follow terrain features, be located by grid coordinates or a radius from a center point.

Such a joint coordination measure can help commanders focus the effort of air and indirect fire assets, and also restrict the trajectories and effects of surface-to-surface fires. There may be no-fire areas (NFAs), restricted operations areas (ROAs) and airspace coordination areas (ACAs) included. No friendly ground forces should go into a kill box unless covered by a no-fire area.

A type of Fire Support Coordinating Measure (FSCM), a Kill Box is often defined by a grid reference system – based on lines of Latitude and Longitude – superimposed upon a map of an area of operation. Each square of the grid may be sub-divided into smaller boxes, each of which may carry its own level of permission – or restriction – on the use of air-to-surface or surface-to-surface weapons.”

    • That was interesting – thank you.

    ISIS making its last stand in Deir Ezzor province = total defeat;
Being attacked from the north, from the west and from the air in open terrain, with Euphrates behind them is a recipe for total destruction.

  • martin aguilar

Go Sirians, go go Russians !! USA-ISIS NATO ZIO Saudis are on the run !! Total victory is near !!! Thanks Assad and Putin !! from the bottom of my heart !!

  • General Surena

1500 İranian “special SABERİN forces” ara preparing and training for Deir azzor operations.
maybe they will push from the east side of town, surprisely.

  • Daniel

The Americans don’t want to conquer Raqqa quickly on purpose. They are preparing the city for the future Kurdish takeover by exterminating a big part of the Arab civilians. Less people to resist a Kurdish dictatorship.

    • Jens Holm

      hahahahahaha.

      New word: propagenda.

      • Daniel

Actually it has been around for a long time, but I’m happy that you have learned a new word :)

  • Solomon Krupacek

      • Solomon Krupacek

aaaaaand? hts is ONLY ONE group of terrorists :)

but jokefully weekend was. the sun did not shine on donald, american drunken marines crashed their supership, russian spokesman come with tales …

BUT YOU ARE STILL EXCELLENT! :)

  • Justin

Ive heard that DeZ contains 10,000 SAA soldiers inside its bubble! Is this true?
    Are they mainly Republican Guard?
Somebody on this site told me this in the comments section and I found it hard to believe yet if true, its great news to open up a can of whoop ass!

    • Wahid Algiers

Exactly. The forces inside DE City/airport were strengthened over the last week up to 10,000 men. Nearly all Rep. Guard members. This force will be very important for tactical items when the comrades will reach DE City by three side because they keep the back.

      • Justin

Awesome, will be like cutting open a bean bag only the beans pouring out will be Republican guard soldiers!
Who doesnt want 10,000 extra soldiers! AWESOME!

        • Jens Holm

Well, its easier to advance, when there are almost none enemies left.

      • Jens Holm

        I dont believe that version.

    • Jan Tjarks

10k sounds exaggerated a lot, even if it is half of it only, it would be a force to reckon with.

      • Jens Holm

Yes, I dont believe those numbers. It might include the many dead ones, but You have to add the milisias.

    • SAA claims 5,000 troops in DeZ city. Once Tigers and Republican Guard forces arrive they can come out to help rout the Daeshtards. It will be magnificent, and it will be soon!

    • Jens Holm

Different oppinions. My private ones is 5.000 real soldiers and 4.000 local milisias where some are very good.

I think You should add SAA(and russians) now are better armed then ever. Im sure they only have lacks in transportation.

      As written,. My subjective oppinion.

    • RedBaron9495

Nah… between 3000 to 5000 SAA soldiers trapped in Deir Ezzor for the last 3 years.

      • Justin

Yeah but they keep being reinforced though. Just curious because I keep hearing different numbers.

        • RedBaron9495

          How are they reinforced though?
Deir Ezzor is encircled and there is no way in.
Supplies have been air-dropped in over those 3 years….but not additional men

  • Dustil schmit

Abu bukhunal or maaydin will be the real last stand for ISIS if al qaim is liberated in Iraq before those ops happen.
