Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi Is Besieged By Syrian Army In Homs Desert – Report

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi

ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is currently hiding in the Homs desert, which is besieged by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies, the Asia Times reported on March 28, citing a Syria source.

According to the source, the terrorist group has been preparing the region, which lays between eastern Homs and western Deir Ezzor, to host Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and his senior commanders since 2015.

“In 2015 they brought a lot of weapons [to the Homs desert], which they’d gotten from Mosul. And they secured the route from al-Baghuz. All the high commanders took weapons and money to this area, because it’s impossible to conquer – you can’t seize it with warplanes and you can’t seize it with an army. There aren’t even roads and there are no inhabitants. Just some Bedouins, but no approaches anywhere near the mountains,” the Hong Kong-based outlet quoted the sources as saying.

More than 1,000 fighters are believed to be hiding in the Homs desert. According to the available information, most of these terrorists are not only heavily armed, but also highly experienced.

Hisham al-Hashemi, a Baghdad-based terrorism expert, supported the Syrian source’s claims saying that the terrorist leader could be indeed hiding in the Homs desert.

“Certainly he is still alive, he did not participate in any battle and was not close to any battlefield … The ISIS security detail that guards Baghdadi knows that keeping the Caliph alive is more important than maintaining the Caliphate,” al-Hashemi said.

The Iraqi experts said that al-Baghdadi, whose real name is Ibrahim Awwad Ibrahim Al-Badri Al-Samarrai, is suffering from several heath issues, including diabetes. A prominent ISIS commander, who was arrested by the Iraqi intelligence last November, made similar claims.

If al-Baghdadi is indeed hiding in the Homs desert, he will likely end up killed or captured by the SAA and its allies. Last year, the SAA killed the terrorist leaders’ son near the desert region.

I hope this fat diabetes pig suffers en rots in the desert first be4 the hero that ‘ll slice his throat whispers in his ear that he failed and he will meet his son in hell

It would be better if he was captured by the SAA, who should make sure that they have weapons systems to destroy any US rescue attempts.

      • goingbrokes

Apart from the theatrics of “find Baghdadi” from the US, I now tend to think he really has gone rogue, and the US too, like Syria and the Russians, is desperate to capture him. If that’s the case US capture will mean certain death. Russians and Syrians could offer to treat his diabetes if he gives himself up! You never know, it might work.

    • Zionism = EVIL

More than likely his Americunt and Zionist masters will airlift him to Afghanistan, if this ugly revolting pig really exists, which I doubt.

surprised the criminally insane and corrupt junta of fatso, bedbugcrazy bolton und zu weiter haven’t flewn him to afghanistan and the borderland with tajikistan/uzbekistan/kyrgistan – after all that is the next area where the junta would be looking to sow discord. the junta reminds me of goebbels, of goehring (fat like fatso), of himmler, of heydrich und zu weiter).

so what now the SAA get the reward?

    • PZIVJ

Maybe :) But not sure about this news source.
“There aren’t even roads and there are no inhabitants. Just some Bedouins, but no approaches anywhere near the mountains”
He could be in Tora Bora ?

      • Promitheas Apollonious

no but he is not in tel aviv. Think about it he is a tool they used to achieve what they achieved in syria and not only, but now he is a big liability and he knows too much more than likely also have records that proves what he knows. other wise how you explain the reward on his head and the urgency to find him?

They maybe no roads where he is but at the same time small groups of special forces never been in need of roads to erase a liability. Of course then they be erased themselves as is the standard practice in this cases.

what do you all think the deash fighters will do when they find he is a mossad agent??

    • FlorianGeyer

      Cry, I would think :)

  • goingbrokes

Another jihad leader with health issues. Is this a way to keep them from going rogue? As in “if you don’t play ball we’ll stop your medicine”. I guess that could one way of trying to ensure someone’s “loyalty”.

  • Thunder

even this statement that he is unwell and these warriors say he speaks for allah?if that were true he wouldn’t get sick he would avoid bullets and injurys no the most high protects his her holy warriors even from sickness and injury he is no holy warrior or he wouldn’t be sick

  • Barba_Papa

He’s probably enjoying his last days in relative comfort somewhere in Turkey or Saudi Arabia. Somewhere in a compound in a country that sponsored his little boys club, just like Bin Laden lived in comfort inside Pakistan. Because like Bin Laden he is not going to live out in the boonies where he can be killed. Like Bin Laden he is a symbol and a symbol that can be killed is of not much use to the movement.
