ISIS Claims Responsibility For Istanbul Nightclub Attack

The ISIS-linked news agency Amaq has released a statement, claiming that ISIS takes responsibility for the Istanbul nightclub attack (more about it here).

In general, ISIS does not claim responsibility for attacks in Turkey even when Ankara says that the terrorist group is responsible.

So, Amaq’s statement could be described as a signal that the terrorist group is going to expand its terror activity in Turkey in response to Ankara’s military operation that targets ISIS in northern Syria.

Sadly, these are the consequences when flirting with terrorism on a state level. They always haunt you back at some later stage if you want to leave the relationship.

Turkey is paying for Erdogan actions in Syria. He should have stood by Assad, not betray him in the first place. Then he supported ISIS against the Kurds.Right now Turks are in very bad position. They are fighting on three fronts – Syria,Iraq and in their own country.
