It is reported that the Iraqi popular forces (Hashd al-Shaabi) started a new special military operations in the Western part of the strategic village of Bashir by making new military gains.

“Today’s military operations came in the chain of a series of operations which started few days ago to win back Tal Ahmad region,” a local Hashd al-Turkman fighter said.

According to the battlefield report, the majority of the popular forces fighting against ISIS terrorists in Taza region are Turkmen Shiites.

The Iraqi popular fighters’ local spokesman Ali al-Husseini announced in late March that 20 members of the ISIS were killed in an attack carried out by the terrorist organization on Taza.

The Iraqi News reported that the al-Hashd al-Shaabi’s spokesperson in Iraqi Northern regions also pointed out that two members of al-Hashd al-Turkmani were wounded during the attack.

Since June 2014, Iraq has been observing ISIS terrorist activities. The US-led coalition started its operations allegedly hitting ISIS, although many believe ISIS is a creation of the west.

However, the 66-member coalition has been failing to control ISIS terrorism, when a concerted push by Iraqi forces are dealing terrorists and forcing it out of the central city of Ramadi, the capital of the western Anbar Province.
