According to Iraqi Army sources, government forces destroyed or captured several heavy weapons of ISIS east of Tal Afar.

Meanwhile, Iraqi Air Force warplanes destroyed an ISIS position and a VBIED workshop in Al-Mahalabiya and Tal Afar.

In Mosul city, Iraqi forces stormed the medical compound in Al-Shifa district after setting control over a major part of the district. However, they have not been able to secure the entire district yet.

Iraqi forces have been focusing on evacuating large numbers of civilians from Al-Shifa district. Moreover, Iraqi forces continued its operations in the Old Mosul area with no real gains so far.

The Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) released an official statement in response to Amnesty International’s report accusing the PMU of committing war crimes.

Spokesman for the PMU, Al-Assadi, asked the Amnesty International to “provide one legal evidence on war crimes committed by the PMU, and then we will bring the perpetrators to justice ourselves, but we are certain that this is no more than accusations based on baseless and groundless allegations and testimonies.”

The Amnesty International also released a report accusing the Syrian government of war crimes in Sednaya prison without providing any evidence in 2016.
