Iranian Intelligence Foiled “Large Terror Plot Directed By Saudi Arabia”

Illustrative image

On January 24, the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence announced in an official statement that it conducted two successful security operations and foiled a plan of the Saudi Intelligence to carry out a terrorist bombing inside Iran, according to Iranian Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

According to the official statement, Iranian intelligence agents seized 23 remote controlled IEDs in the first operation. The IEDs were allegedly smuggled into the eastern border of Iran. In the second operation, equipment required for making bombs, including TNT, C-4, explosive kits, 150 explosive boosters and light weapons were seized by the Iranian intelligence in the western Iranian province of Marvin.

The Iranian accusations against Saudi Arabia may be true becauuse Saudi officials have threatened Iran on many occasions. On May 3, 2017 Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman even said that Saudi Arabia “will not wait until the battle becomes in Saudi Arabia but we will work to have the battle in Iran rather than in Saudi Arabia.”

The incident will likely lead to the further growth of tensions between Saudi Arabia and Iran. Teheran may step up its operations against the Saudi interests in Yemen, Syria and other areas.

A few corrections, based on the Persian text of announcement:
1- The 2nd operation was conducted in the Kordestan province, the city of Marivan. We have no province named “Marvin”.
2- They found 150 electronic detonators among other explosives from secessionist Kurdish terror groups.
3- They also found 41 hand grenades, 31 Kalashnikov magazines and bullets and 4 RPGs from the members of the mentioned groups, smuggling them from Iraq to Iran.
4- Tehran has no operations in Yemen to “step” it up. Why is SF repeating western MSM style lies?

Otherwise, thee article has no errors AFAIK.

    • BL

Iran definitely does have operatives inside Yemen, whether they are Iranian themselves or Hezbollah is irrelevant. The Houthis are using weaponry and technology that they could have only obtained from Iran.

      • montezuma_rg

not enough im afraid.. they could use a lot more

      • Agha Olagh

When the blockade has resulted in not a single piece of bread not being being able to enter the country then how do you think it’s possible for them to be using Iranian weaponry and technology? When will the time come, that we’ll stop believing this western propaganda. Also, it’s worth mentioning that we should not underrestimate the Houthis. They were able to fully modify those Borkan 2 missiles, something which certainly requires some sophisticated knowledgde to do.

    • Pave Way IV

      “…secessionist Kurdish terror groups…”

      PJAK or someone else?

      • Garga

The report does not elaborate. There are a couple of these groups.
        – The most notorious for now is PJAK.
        – the worst used to be Komela, which after spilling so much of other Iranians’ blood during the war with Iraq, laid down their arms and decided that by political means they can achieve better results.
        – PAK (Partiya Azadii Kurdistan – Kurdistan Freedom Party), the same group that tried to resist giving Kirkuk back to Iraqi government.

Funny thing is they are all “parties”, as if they actually do social and political activities!

They are low in numbers and did not succeed to attract Iranian Kurds in a meaningful number, that’s why they had no choice but to receive funds, arms and support from foreigners and perform terror attacks whenever they’re told to do so.

        • Pave Way IV

        • Justin

Im not saying Iranian forces are on the ground! I am saying Iran Supports and funds the houthi’s! To a much lesser degree than Saudi’s are involved of course! Iran is aiding houthi’s because its sucking the life blood (money) from Saudi Arabia! Iran’s number one goal is for the Saudi royal family to be revoted against and kicked out!

      • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Iran isn’t there but groups like AIPAC want it spun so, missiles in Yemen are local designs and modifications and they have made some fantastic versions of US military sniper rifle. Just think they can make several variations of the same rifle, so they are developing their own missiles.

        • John Mason

Justin is getting confused about the US who actually are unable to develop, design and build there own weaponry without stealing the blueprints or bribe foreign experts, the Houthis are quite capable of doing all of that. Just for a reference:-
          1. Mig 25 defected by Russian to Japan; US used data to build F22.
          2. Wernher von Braun defected to US; rocket scientist, without him and 1600 others the US would still be using sling shots.
          There are many more…

          • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

.Today NASA recruits and steals scientists works and kills them , claiming an accident generally a medical one.

          • John Mason

You been reading about US involvement in biological warfare labs in the Baltics?

          • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Know people who have lost their family members strangely and mysteriously there in NASA. The best bio-labs they have are in places like Sierra Leone etc., watch the outbreaks in regions and generally a lab is near there. No surprise Africa is full of these chemical and bio warfare labs.

          • Justin

Dude! I 100% back houthis and iran! But dont tell me iran isnt supporting the houthi’s with intel, supplies, leadership etc etc! U know they are! And i am glad they are!

          • John Mason

It is obvious Justin and Iran have hinted at it. The Houthis may be the death knell for the Saudis and coalition.

          • Justin

            Exactly!

          • Justin

I dont disagree with most of what u said! But Iran is helping houthi’s! FACT!

      • chris chuba

By 1 / 100th or 1 / 1000th the number that the Saudis are in Yemen.

There are probably a few IRGC technicians helping the Houthis modify about a dozen Yemeni missiles or other native Yemeni weapons with Iranian components but that pales in comparison to the Saudi Air Force and legion of African mercenaries, and naval blockade. A little perspective please.

        • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

You are another Zio troll here are no IRGC in Yemen , it’s you barbarians who need to steal everything. Many people in this world are smarter than the US/ISreal, not difficult to understand, no incentive to be better.

      • NeoLeo

If Tehran does not have operations in Yemen, then who supply Houthis with Ballistic Missiles, I mean please man, it a good thing they should supply them with more but what were you thinking SF was talking about some legit operation, Nope, was talking about their arming of the Houthis and that it will boost its operations against Saudis and their coalitions with “maybe more arms and more missiles” that was the whole conversation here.

    • World_Eye

@ Garga – If Tehran does not have operations in Yemen, then who supply Houthis with Ballistic Missiles, I mean please man, its a good thing, they should keep supply them with more, but what were you thinking SF was talking about some legit operation. Nope, was talking about their arming of the Houthis and that it will boost its operations against Saudis and their coalitions with “maybe more arms and more missiles” that was the whole conversation here. And SF is not the US CIA do give special accurate intelligence, they are group of world wide experts that collecting data and based on that date are making these info-graphics and intelligence, which they have accurate rate of maybe 70-75% truth been told, the other 30-25% will always come not fully trusted from the hand they are getting it. But they are trying the best tho, give them a break, and I have noticed many times their editor makes some grammar and spell errors but that’s a bit tinny fraction of it, and if they miss-spelled some village or city is not because it does not exist it is because its been added by mistake we are humans and human error exists everywhere, even in the most perfect world. !

      • Garga

Thank you for your input. Let’s not forget a few realities:

1- Saudi aggression on Yemen started almost 3 years ago (March, 26th, 2015). Aerial blockade started the same day and naval blockade started on 27th from a few points (port of Aden and Bab-al-Mandab and expanded to the whole coastlines of Yemen).

2- To this date, the Saudi coalition controls Yemen’s gateways to the outside world. They search every vessel and a lot of times do not let the ship to enter even after inspection.

3- Since the start of their operation, they could not provide the world a single evidence to prove Iranian, Hezbollah or North Korea’s “presence” in Yemen. These 3 are “allegedly” backing Houthis and recently Qatar was added to make a quartet. The keyword here is “allegedly” which allows them to make all sorts of accusations without the need for evidence.

4- The coalition of terror is not just consisted of Saudis and their vassals but the US and UK as well.

5- They are very enthusiastic to accuse Iran of having a hand in Yemenis retaliatory missile strikes in order to target Iran’s defence programs. So far nothing is proven, which if we combine the lack of proof with the situation on the ground (blockade, monitoring the airspace/land borders) is quite telling. This absence of evidence is not because they didn’t try or Iranians are very clever.

6- About Yemen’s arms and missiles. This piece of land haven’t seen piece for a long time, since at least 1962. In the number of arms per capita Yemen was second (after the US) before Saudis’ attack. Just take a look at the countries who supplied them: almost 50 countries without counting their own defence industries. You can check this link about the missiles they have or used and search for each type to see it’s origin and development history:
        http://missiledefenseadvocacy.org/missile-threat-and-proliferation/todays-missile-threat/non-state-actors/houthis/

7- Iranian officials times and then said that the country supports Yemenis politically and morally. They’re not shy to declare they arm someone, as is evident with Hezbollah. Since I heard more lies from the side which accuses them than the Iranian side, I prefer to accept what they say until further notice.

TL;DR: If western MSM/governments and their vassals cannot show the evidence of what they accuse Iran for doing after almost 3 years, it confirms their claims are baseless. Lies. Repeating it doesn’t make it the truth and my expectations from the South Front as an honest outlet is higher than this..

I don’t nitpick articles for grammatical errors or typos. In this article a very important factor has an error. If readers which don’t know Iran search for the place name (Marvin province) they’ll find nothing. If I find out that the place which an article says something happened in does not exist, I’ll doubt the credibility of the whole article, I don’t know about you.

      • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Why do you believe that anyone is involved , currently many nations have scientists in NASA mostly from what one would call 3rd world nations. Time for many to understand that the old saying an oft repeated lie told enough will sound like the truth, just not really the truth in any case. The US/UK are working with the Saudis developing missiles wonder how many are easily bribed.

      • Gregory Casey

Houthi Missiles were supplied by Saudis and UAE and their repugnant allies in former Yemeni Government and some Opposition. Unless you’ve been asleep, you will have noticed that Houthis have captured and plundered large Government and Saudi/Emirati Arms Dumps throughout the past 2 years and have been more than happy to return them to Saudi Arabia, fully armed. Saudis reap what they sow. None of these Rockets or Missiles have come from Iran; they have all come from US, UK, France, Germany, Netherlands and other European suppliers to the Saudi/Emirati war machine

    • MichaH

I appreciate your corrections of the text as well. But Is it really a “MSM lie”, or just translation with poor languageskills?

  • andy l

Iran should return the favour & pay the Saudis in kind

    • Starlight

That it CANNOT do. The jewish press (BBC, CNN, NYT etc etc) is ready and waiting to claim any action by Iran against KSA is immediate justification for the West to start bombing Iran. Recall how America gave Saddam a nod and a wink to his Kuwait invasion plan, and then began this whole demonic game by using said invasion to destroy Iraq.

      • Astar Roth

Yes, THEY CAN FIGHT BACK! They fuckk them so, many times in Yemen!!!

      • Xanatos

Countries like saudi arabia openly attack other countries under the flimsy cover of terrorists. But if they are paid, equipped, and instructed by a country, they are not terrorists. They are covert agents committing an act of war. This is extreme rogue behavior the world community shouldn’t tolerate.

Under the occupation of European migrants till this time hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians of Palestine have been violently persecuted with constant severe brutality. Their complete villages and towns have been completely demolished, erased and instead of these new unknown buildings have been erected there. These Israeli terrorists shoot innocent civilians directly in their heads. Israeli terrorists wants to do these hostilities and provocative actions on innocent civilians that they react with anger and then they loose their mind that how to get ride of these illegal European migrants from their land.

Peaceful protests with flags, banners and placards against European migrants is the legal right of all civilians. Anger eat wise. Anger are the signs of failure and frustration. Palestinian youths should not react with stones and knives but become calm and be organized. I wish that Palestinian nation soon free from these beasts. For a strong nation Education, unity, journalism and justice is very important.

Since 1917 to 1920 Palestine was under British occupation. Then on 1 July 1920 the British regime handed over the control of Palestine to the Herbert Samuel the Zionist minister in the British cabinet and the first high commissioner to Palestine.
Then in 1948 the British regime handed over Palestine to the illegal European migrants called Israel. So Palestine never got independence from foreign occupation. In 2018 Palestine is still under the occupation of illegal European migrants.

Mahmoud Abbas should immediately withdraw from the recognition of Israel which is the state of illegal European migrants, build on the homeland of Palestinians. For Palestine the recognition of state of Israel is like to put whole nation of Palestine under occupation of illegal European migrants.

Mahmoud Abbas should protest to the all world leaders that why you have recognized Israel which is the state of illegal European migrants in the homeland of Palestinians. Tell to all of them to immediately withdraw from the recognition of Israel. Once they withdrew from the recognition of Israel then Palestine will liberate itself.

The world leaders will listen to Mahmoud Abbas because his whole nation is suffering under occupation. Mahmoud Abbas should not tell to any leader to recognize Palestinian state. If Mahmoud Abbas is looking for two states solution and prefer Israeli state on the homeland of Palestinians then even one inch part of Palestine cannot be freed.

Its better to expose these Zionists in the world. Believe me Zionists have no religion. Their religion is deception, fraud, lie and murdering innocent people in the world. Look what they have done to Palestine, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Yemen, and so on. Millions of people these Zionists have killed and still killing.

Everybody life has some meaning. Please help Palestine, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Yemen because the people of these countries are true victims. Zionists wants to disintegrate and destroy these countries.

The whole European and Jew antisemite scam is ludicrous. Jews are the biggest racists and antisemites on the planet for their crimes against non Jews and Palestinians. Southfront (having been INFILTRATED by zionists posing as ‘volunteers’) tells us Iran’s claim MAY be true. Note the zionist trick. Yet Southfront reports the ravings of Israel as ‘true’ without any qualifying words like “may”.

The jewish controlled BBC always puts the word “ALLEGED” before any statements by any government declared to be the “ENEMY OF THE JEWS” like Syria or Gaza or Iran. Yet they never used the word “alleged” for statements coming out of Israel, the USA, UK or France- despite the constant recent history of these four governments being caught in official lies again and again and again. The BBC actually BOASTS about this editorial position, claiming it is part of its job to sell jewish lies.

Southfront is sounding more and more like the BBC, CNN and NYT.

Iran, unlike its more foolish neighbours Iraq, Syria and Libya, knows how to play the Great Game, and how to arrange governance across the ENTIRE nation to prevent infiltration by the Deep State. So even the depraved racist neo-nazi jews of Israel have little success- knowing the best they can do is butcher an Iranian scientist and his family at the cost of losing the entire circle of agents that made that Crime against Humanity possible.

In truth Iran is great at doing everything it can. But what Iran cannot do is win a war against the West. Only Putin can prevent such a war, and our muscular vicar is too busy working to please Saudi Arabia and Israel to properly ensure the Iran war won’t happen.

Trump has promised an Iran War before his first term is up. He is moving, stage by stage, to make the war inevitable. Attempts at terror in Iran by KSA are designed to make it seem there is a genuine rebel force waiting to take control once the West starts bombing, thus acting as ‘justification’ for the bombing, Libya style. But America doesn’t really need ANY excuse in the end. The war plan is now under way, and a deadline for war set. The Deep State will do what it can meanwhile to lay down propaganda – but remember that arch demon Tony Blair invaded Iraq in the face of humanity’s greatest anti-war movement in Britain in the immediate run-up to invasion.

PS Southfront’s shilling for the zionists is only going to get LOUDER. Unless Southfront examines recent recruits, and analyses exactly what agenda these recruits have been pushing, the zionist infiltration will complete.

    • NeoLeo

I think SF is just trying to be objective and not accused of being biased (by zio-trolls).
But it is true that western media always use these dirty tricks – for example “Marine Le Pen, far-right candidate, said something”, they instantly label someone in advance, then proceeded with ‘news’. And they repeat that labeling zillion times until it becomes -default definition.

Iran and Russia should sign a new military agreement that allows Russia to keep some of its missiles, aircraft, warships and radars on Iranian bases. That would greatly balance and stabilize the situation
    in the Middle East.

    • nshah

emm.. Ever wonder why all that mentioned doesn’t happen..?
      Peace

      • christianblood

        Tell me about!

        • nshah

Easy.. they’re only partners, not allies.. nor can they have the trust among them.. Whatever deals they may have in Syria are only co-operation due their own agendas of eliminating terrorism at their back yard..! And Iran does not bound to any of Rothschild’s banks like Russia does that makes it kept on changing policies towards their western partners where most of the time their hands are tighten be it economically, militerily even in any co-operation except for their national interest.. to shorten it.. there are no trust among them to be allies..!
Ever wonder why the most sofistikated arms sales goes to India or China..? Why there’s no condemnation comes from Russia due to rohingas and yemen and Palestine plight to the world..? Russia only interfere whenever their national securities are concerned which every country does too.. but to be an alliance you need to be on the same par.. have that bloody Rothschild bank in your country..!

          • christianblood

Good points you made. But I believe it is high time for Iran and Russia to upgrade the cooperation from ‘partnership’ status to a real alliance status and compromises should be made to achieve this. May be I am wrong but I just see how that could be a necessary thing for peace and balance in the region.

          • nshah

Tx for replying.. but currently I don’t see how they can cooperate and becomes alliance.. at the moment their relationship is like.. you scratch my back.. I’ll scratch yours.. not more than that.. My wish too for them to be alliance just like Hesbollah and Iran and syria.. these are alliance they watch each other’s back. Just recall back the starting of the proxy war of Syria.. who came to lend Syria hands..? When did Russia got involved.? and for what reason/s..? They could had got involved earlier before the distructions of Syria.. what was Russia waited for at that time.. why do you think Russia stand idle when the west invaded Libya..? There are lots of arguments not being disclosed..
Anyway, I really appreciate your reply and thoughts.. Bless you..

The problem of course is that short of capturing MbS in Tehran, no one will believe the Iranians and there is no one to put on a dog and pony show at the U.N. Security Council. Even then, Haley would accuse Iran of kidnapping MbS and dragging him to Tehran.
