Iranian Cleric: Britain Should Be “Scared” Of Iranian Response To Supertanker Seizure

The United Kingdom should be “scared” of a possible Iranian response to the recent capture of an Iranian supertanker by the British navy in Gibraltar, Mohammad Ali Mousavi Jazayeri, a member of Iran’s Assembly of Experts, threatened on July 6.

“I am openly saying that Britain should be scared of Iran’s retaliatory measures over the illegal seizure of the Iranian oil tanker,” Jazayeri told the Fars News Agency.

The semi-Iranian official added: “We have shown that we will never remain silent against bullying …As we gave a staunch response to the American drone, the appropriate response to this illegal capture (of the tanker) will be given by Iran as well.”

A detachment of the Royal Marines and Gibraltar’s authorities seized the Iranian supertanker Grace 1 in the morning of July 4.

Following the incident, Mohsen Rezaee, secretary of Iran’s Expediency Discernment Council (EDC), said that his country should seize a British oil tanker if London doesn’t release the supertanker.

Grace 1 is currently being held off the shores of Gibraltar. The local authorities said on July 5 that said on Friday it had obtained an order extending the detention of the supertanker by 14 days. This will likely escalate the tension between Tehran and London.

    ohh yeah..that will be a sweet 1…….

shoot down of Iran passenger plane …….

    answer

    bomb down in lockerbie

but this all boils to the Agenda of a one world Government…they ..zionists and their Partners Need the war against syria, lebanon and Iran…….and they will do everything to get…..which all Military commanders will tell u will turn nuclear, because nobody can win a conventional war against Iran.

    • paul ( original )

For those who cannot remember it was the Libyans who were blamed for Lockerbie. Indeed some were tried in a Scottish court and served a considerable period in prison. The reason was said to be a response to the US and UK bombing of Tripoli.

      • Brother Ma

I do remember but much evidence came out that it was a frame job by Nato against Libya. It was the 9/11 false flag that the zious needed at that time to demonise Libya. Just like the Malaysian plane was over Ukraine a couple of years ago. I am still not sure if the latter was in fact an accidental shoot down by Russos or if it was a sacrificial lamb sent in by the zioyankers etc

        • paul ( original )

After events like these there are always many different explanations. Sometimes these are the result of a sort of ‘journalistic’ industry which makes a living out of speculation surrounding any given situation. You know what I mean? Books to be written articles to be sold etc. Without mystery there would be no story.Other times the situation is just genuinely unclear and the truth will probably never be know. Other times there is genuine intent to mislead and confuse.
I don’t have a one size fits all. As for this case I see no compelling reason why there would have been any inclination to overlook the Iranians and blame the Libyans instead. Why protect the Iranians. Not a Western favourite I think.

          • Sinbad2

If the US had accused Iran for Lockerbie, the story of IranAir 655 would have been exposed in great detail. The US went to considerable effort to bury the murder of 290 innocent people, including 66 children by US forces threatening Iran.
All American crimes must be hidden so they simply framed Libya. To the Americans framing innocent nations and killing children for crimes they did not commit is to trivial to care about.

        • zman

After all this time and evidence that has been shown, except in the west, you still don’t know who and how? MH17 was another frame up against Russia and eastern Ukraine. The cockpit had 30mm holes in it…that doesn’t come from a missile.

          • Brother Ma

So where did i say i didn’t believe the mh17 being a frame job?

          • zman

oops wrong button, meant to reply to B Ma…” I am still not sure if the latter was in fact an accidental shoot down by Russos…”

  • IMHO

I doubt Iran will respond in any meaningful way.

    • Sinbad2

They will, but they will plan it in great detail, and make sure there is no evidence linking them to the attack. They waited 6 months before they responded to the US attack on IranAir 655.
Revenge is a dish best served cold.

      • zman

I agree…except that I think Iran will do so quite publicly. Doing so outright, sends a message that can’t be mistaken. Besides, I think that they will go after a British tanker (or British oil). Of course, Britain might put troops on board tankers, which might get messy. The Iranians could simply impound a ship, without boarding as well…or deny them entrance or exit to the Strait of Hormuz. What ever they do, it will be significant and unmistakable.

  • paul ( original )

Time will tell. My only fear is that the Iranians are very cautious, sometimes to the point of inaction. I think this comes from Rouhani and his foreign minister who do not appear to be the strongest of politicians. But as I sat time will tell I am not jumping to conclusions.

  • paul ( original )

One thing that bothers me about all this is why it was not better anticipated. Others may be better able to understand the situation and hopefully they may enlighten me. But why was not this seen as a possibility and a contingent of soldiers place aboard the tanker to repel the type of attack that happened?

    • IMHO

I agree but it is my understanding that there is some international law against arming these non military ships. Perhaps someone else has more info.

      • paul ( original )

I think you are probably correct. But I suspect it does not operates on the high seas. It would only apply in port or in territorial waters. This could be total bs. Just my understanding which has little authority behind it.

    • eurasian

Some soldiers on a ship can’t do anything against a (british) military ship.
So if, then any tanker must be escorted by (iranian) military ships and for that Iran hasn’t the capabilities.
But it’s not only 2-D Iran and UK, it’s USA, UK, Israel, EU, Saudi-Arabia, UAE … and China, Russia, Iran, Syria, Yemen, Venezuela …
Maybe loosing one tanker is sad, but I guess, there are much higher stakes on other places.

      • Sinbad2

First this tanker was boarded and seized by helicopter not a ship.
Second an anti ship missile could be fitted to a tanker without much difficulty.
But do we really want to go back to the 1600’s when Britain openly committed piracy?

        • paul ( original )

Yes I believe that is correct. The thing is a boarding party could have been repelled. This I am sure. If the UK chose to shell the tanker then I say so be it. I don’t think they would but if so ram the warship.

        • eurasian

What you say could be done, just if (for example) a tanker is fitted with anti ship missiles and launches one of them on a british ship and this is happening near Spain (both in Nato), then next thing the tanker would need within 20 minutes would be a completely air defence …

And in the 1600s it have been wooden ships with canons, now it are nuclear powered aircraft carriers – but the principle of policy was ever the same, “on your knees or I send a fleet”.
Now China is making a difference, because China also follows straight the own interests, but China is asking if it can send some companies and workers to build something.
(And China has not military bases all over the world (like USA), but China can defend it’s homeland and probably the areas near chinese borders.)
By the way, the chinese strategists will observe, how Suez-canal and straight of Gibraltar are blocked.

          • Sinbad2

British and now American control of Suez, and all the other trade bottlenecks is the reason the US Navy exists, plus killing people who don’t kowtow to the empire.
That is why the Americans want to stop the North East Passage and the New Silk Road.
The Americans are control freaks, they have to control everything, that’s why they record every single phone call made on earth.

    • Sinbad2

And a manpad, but sadly that is not how the game is played.
The FUKUS countries and Israel can do whatever they want, and kill whoever they want, they are the master races, the rest of us are just slaves who must obey the law.

  • Free man

Ayatollah Jazayeri who recently came to Britain for medical treatment “England should fear Iran’s retaliation to the seizure of its tanker in Gibraltar”
    LOL.

    • Tommy Jensen

      Comic Ali shadow walk again.

      • Free man

        All mullahs are comical.
They plunder the Iranian people and send their stolen wealth and their children to live in the West (mainly in the United States and Britain), but pretend to “resist” to the West.

  • Tommy Jensen

Spain cannot do anything about it, because CIA^M16 said they should do it. They said it.

  • eurasian

When shooting down the USA-drone, Iran didn’t talk, but act.
And there are some signs, that this is the language USA understands.
So now, to target anything from british petroleum companies would be the language UK understands.

  • Toronto Tonto

Why are you planning more terrorist strikes to KILL innocent folks like you do daily around the globe .

    • eurasian

My canadian friend, you mean the drone strikes killing innocent folks on a daily base around the globe, just this is what your usainian neighbors are doing.

    • zman

Because that’s what the west does…phony terror attacks to ‘justify’ their crimes. Ask Trump why his MAGA idiots are doing this…they’ll tell you it’s what Bibi wants. Pretty simple.

  • Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

yes, britain should be extremely terrified

Breaking News…..IRAQI ARMY OFFICER ..CIA……PMU…….attacks by US and ISRAEL

    Sunday 7 Jul 2019 / Tehran – 11:38 / GMT – 07:08

Hezbollah Releases Audio Files of Iraqi Officer’s Phone Coordination with CIA against Hashd Al-Shaabi

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iraq’s Hezbollah popular group released a series of audio files revealing phone talks and Whatsapp chats between a senior Iraqi officer in al-Anbar province and the US spy agency, CIA, against Iraq’s Hashd al-Shaabi (popular forces).
The audio files disclosed contacts between Mahmoud al-Falahi, the commander of al-Anbar operations in the Iraqi army, with a CIA agent who is an Iraqi national.
The CIA agent asked al-Falahi to provide him with the geographical coordinates of the existing military bases at the borders between Iraq and Syria “to be attacked by the US and Israeli air forces”.
He also told al-Falahi to meet with “the US army and intelligence service commanders in Erbil in Iraqi Kurdistan region or at the US forces’ base in al-Habaniyeh” in Western Iraq.
During the conversations, al-Falahi provided the detailed coordinates of military bases in al-Anbar to the agent.

Hezbollah described the audio files as documents showing al-Falahi’s “plot against the Iraqi army, security, Hashd al-Shaabi and resistance forces “, warning that his spying for the CIA and Israeli Mossad spy agencies has endangered Iran’s national security.
Iraqi security sources disclosed in 2016 that Washington was exerting pressure on the Baghdad government to end Hashd al-Shaabi’s partnership in war against ISIL and dissolve the militia army that has the lion share in the war on terrorism in the country.
“The US government has conveyed the message to the Iraqi government through its diplomats that there is no need to Hashd al-Shaabi forces and their role should come to an end,” a senior Iraqi source, speaking on condition of anonymity, told FNA at the time.
A senior member of the Iraqi parliament revealed last month the US plots and attempts to dissolve Hashd al-Shaabi with pressures on Iraq’s government after the popular forces regained control over Iraq’s borders with Syria.
The Arabic-language al-Ma’aloumeh news website quoted Odai Awad as saying that the US was pressuring Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi to force him act against Hashd al-Shaabi.
He referred to the US embassy’s contacts with the ISIL commanders, and said certain regions in Iraq are showing allegiance to the ISIL again in a way that a number of Iraqi security commanders have compared the situation to the situation in 2014.
Awad said that the US pressures started after Hashd al-Shaabi forces retook control over the Iraqi-Syrian borders, adding that at present, some measures are being adopted against Hashd al-Shaabi on the political and international scene in a bid to disturb the public opinion in freed areas.

one thing that would be more spectacular and would serve the perfide albions right, would be to load a medium sized ship, 150000 tonnes or so, loaded with some heavy fuel (75000), some sticky crude (75000) and some kerosine/naphtha (10000) and run it aground/ashore at full tilt into gibraltar harbour basin as a thank you since last time.

  • goingbrokes

It is ok to retaliate against UK illegal terrorism on the seas. UK is a US poodle sending military against a civilian ship to terrorise and deprive Syrian civilians. What a great show you are running.

  • bla

well, it seems the brits are, they ordered their oil tanker to get back and not cross hormutz strait
