On January 5th, Iran issued a “red notice” request to Interpol for the arrest of US President Donald Trump and 47 other US officials.

Iranian judiciary spokesman Gholamhossein Esmaili announced during a press conference that Iran has requested the international police organization to arrest Trump and 47 other American officials identified as playing a role in the assassination of top general Qassem Soleimani on January 3rd, 2020 by a US drone strike.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran is very seriously following up on pursuing and punishing those who ordered and executed this crime,” Gholamhossein Esmaili, a spokesperson for the Iranian judiciary said.

The assassination was deemed to be against international law by Agnes Callamard, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions.

“Major General Soleimani was in charge of Iran military strategy, and actions, in Syria and Iraq,” Callamard wrote in a July report. “But absent an actual imminent threat to life, the course of action taken by the U.S. was unlawful.”

In June, Tehran prosecutor Ali Alqasimehr issued an arrest warrant for Trump and dozens of US officials saying they face “murder and terrorism charges”.

Interpol, which is based in France, rejected Iran’s request, saying its constitution forbids it from undertaking “any intervention or activities of a political, military, religious or racial character”.

In a ceremony in Tehran to mark Soleimani’s assassination anniversary, judiciary chief Ebrahim Raisi said Trump was a main target of prosecution and should not be immune because of his political status.

“Fortunately, Trump’s presidency has ended. But even if his term hadn’t ended, it would be unacceptable to say someone shouldn’t be accountable to law due to his administrative position,” he said.

“Trump will have to pay back, whatever his position,” Ebrahim Raisi said, as Iran marked the anniversary of Soleimani’s killing.

“Whether he heads the U.S. administration or not, Trump should face retribution for the atrocity he has perpetrated,” Raisi said.

The spokesman of Iran’s Guardian Council, Ali Kadkhodaei said Trump’s legal immunity as head of state is problematic for legally pursuing him, but “some international experts hold the view that after Trump’s presidency is over this might be possible”.

An Interpol red notice is a request to law enforcement agencies worldwide to help find and arrest fugitives who are wanted either for prosecution of a crime or to serve a prison sentence.

Interpol’s General Secretariat commented that according to the international police body’s constitution, “it is strictly forbidden for the Organization to undertake any intervention or activities of a political, military, religious or racial character.”

However, after January 20th, Trump is no longer US President.

The US in recent weeks has flown B-52 bombers over the Persian Gulf and sent a nuclear-powered submarine into the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump also overruled the Pentagon and ordered the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz to remain in the region because of the threats.

Better get Inspector Clouseau if you think Interpol will do anything!

Now were talking Iran, good on you.

Wanted Posters would also be good, even just for PR.

  3. The Objective says:

An empty gesture. Iran is dying with rage over the killing Soleimani, but its power cannot match its desires for revenge. better shut the fuck up and hope things cool down a bit with Joe Biden. Your endless noises on revenge is deafening.

lets hope haifa and tel aviv will get leveled soon

        I wouldn’t count on it.

International law and agencies which ‘protect’ it are American babies. Iran is using their weapon to attack them in a move with which it could accomplish total destruction of US foreign policy integrity (if it has any that is).
By comparing military might you simply show the lack of understanding about the subject. No nation on the world would be able to resist US carpet bombing and similar brutal tactics but Iran has managed to defeat USA on diplomatic battlefield especially since Trump was POTUS.
Also, you must respect Persian wisdom… They know their chess game. Been playing it successfully since 1979.

Tell that to Michael d’Andrea’s widow ;-)

      1. The Objective says:

Why are you guys avoiding war at all cost, even at the cost of such humiliations like Soleimani and Fakhrazadeh? d’Andrea or whoever you call him is not a proportionate revenge for these two Iranian figures. That is, assuming Iran actually killed d’Andrea. Just fuck off and lick your wounds. also hope that Biden plays ball, because from all indications, he’s not the Iran dove you all seem to think.

        1. Amir says:

D’Andrea was directly responsible and he is now on ice. Iran is not planning to fight America and she’s their children’s blood as sacrificial lambs for the Zionists. Maybe you are one and fermenting discord, leading from behind, fattening yourself when others shed blood. You can dream about having us Americans fight for you.

I don’t like war because I’ve seen it first hand. However, I know that only a devastating war will stop Iran creating terror sectarian armies destabilizing Muslim communities.
Left to me, Iran can have nukes, ICBMs, and all the soldiers it can recruit WITHIN Iran. But it should leave other countries (Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen) alone.

          2. Amir says:

Who cares what you like or not. The USG only understands one language language and believe me, you understand it too

          3. The Objective says:

Yeah, only that your resistance forces have proven to be paper tigers. So how can they speak that language to the USG?

          4. Amir says:

Same language that downed their drone @ 90.000 feet.
I recall the fake Gulf of Tonkin leading to Vietnam War. Certainly the missile barrage of Al Asad airbase was not a fake and no response from the Orangegutan. Not that your kind wouldn’t like to send American boys and girls bleeding for your Israel.
You might also want to check out Michael D’Andrea, put on ice, shot down @ 30.000 feet in Afghanistan. Who knew, the Afghan Resistance has SAMs reaching that high. I would also visits Scotland, if I ware you, to get more understanding about flight 655

          5. The Objective says:

You Iranians fucking think I’m an Israeli right? Please read my post prior to March 2020. My profile is set to “public” just for your suspicious type.

        2. Amir says:

Again, who knew Afghan Resistance has SAMs reaching 30.000
You are correct about the lack of proportionality of Iran’s response. They just took at the person who was immediately responsible. Go read a bit about flight 655 and you might learn something. Insulting someone might make you feel macho but that is just like boasting about the “best healthcare in the world”; while not able to organize a decent National vaccination program. US Army is certainly the most expensive one but as your own MAGA Orangegutan said “we don’t win any wars”.

    4. John Wallace says:

Biden is more corrupt than even Clinton so will bomb any country for a dollar.

  4. verner says:

when time is ripe the parasitic jews in palestine will be wiped off the face of earth, for friggin good. Iran is doing what any sane country would do, go through the international system set up to deal with crimes on an international scale and showing the world that what comes next is justified since the international system of courts and institutions is inadequate and then you are entitled to take the law in your own hands. so the odious parasites illegally occupying palestine are on their second last chapter and then they are gone. in a wisp of smoke never to be heard from again. I can’t wait for that day and nor can the rest of the world.
