In Video: Jalisco New Generation Cartel Showcases Its Might As Mexican President Visits Its Heartland

A screenshot from the video

The Jalisco New Generation Cartel released a video depicting its forces on July 17 just as President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador visited the group’s heartland in the provinces of Guanajuato, Jalisco and Colima. The cartel is especially active in these areas.

It was unclear when the video had been filmed, but its release came just ahead of the President’s visit. This video is a message to local people attempting to convince them that the central government is not able to protect them.

I saw “Barret” and 12,7 MG on the streets in anti-quarantine protests. And even AT-4 (or something like that). There is nothing special in this video. No TOWs, no “Stingers”. But I agree, it looks like DAESH. Washington says, they helps to destroy terrorism in distant Syria, but does nothing against similar gangs in neighbor country. Ask qui bono (who benefit), as romans said.

you’re right! who benefits a country like mine! the security situation and a weak and st*p*d goverment is a bad combination! why we the mexicans let this evil grew up! why washington let the zetas raised and not taking action for so long and why washington looks the cjng a very real threat since the beggining!

In my opinion, the Washington regime benefits from this situation. As far as I know, in the US ~12 million illegal immigrants, i.e. slaves. Instability in Mexico = more slaves. No need to build ships, to buy slaves on other continent – they will come at own will. We have the same situation in Russia, which is the second country in the world by immigrants number. They mostly comes from ex-USSR states. But the main difference – Russia doesn’t seed instability and helps those new states to defend borders as we do in Tajikistan (12000 troops at border with Afghanistan), because local gov-t too incompetent and too corrupt to prevent heroin traffic. Reach ones want this cheapest labor force to come, ordinary people want to stop these flows, especially from the Milddle (or Central) Asia.

Very similar to the photo of ISIS posing with a column of Toyota 4*4 pick-ups somewhere in Iraq in 2015/2016. Not sure it is coincidence

yes you’re right, they leartn well the lessons when this campaign started in 2006, the zetas had the “monsters” which were slow, now we watched a real armored convoy like the “syrian rebels” have done since 2015

      • Simon Ndiritu

We can postulate that the person(s) or government(s) that trained ISIS and ‘Syrian Rebels’ are the same ones arming and training these outlaw cartels.

Holy Smokes! Jalisco Cartel? They look like a motorized infantry unit of the Mexican Army. It would be safe to say that local Mexican police departments are ill-equipped to face these hombres. No wonder they need assistance from the Army, Marines and Federal Police.
