Armenian troops blew up their barracks in the district of Kalbajar in the Nagorno-Karabakh region on November 24. The move was undertaken hours ahead of handing over the district of Azerbaijan, which is set to take place on November 25.
Under the ceasefire deal that put an end to the Second Karabakh War, Armenian forces are set to hand over to Azerbaijan the districts of Agdam, Kalbajar, and Lachin, excluding the Lachin corridor. Agdam is already in the hands of Azerbaijani forces. Kalbakar will be transferred on November 25, while Lachin district will be handed over on December 1.
