In Photos: Turkish Tanks, Other Equipment Destroyed By Syrian Army Strikes

Donate

What happens when you come to a neighbouring country to support terrorists there, but do not expect a military retaliation.

A series of photos showing Turkish military equipment destroyed by strikes of the Syrian Army appeared on line on February 10. The photos show at least one M60T battle tank, a M106 mortar carrier and several vehicles. The date of the photos is unknown. However, the photos were made on the road west of Saraqib, Syria’s Idlib. So, photos were likely made after the February 3 strike, when the Syrian Army killed at least 6 Turkish personnel and injured several others. The military column was trying to reach Saraqib in order to prevent its liberation from al-Qaeda-linked militants by the Syrian Army.

On February 10, the Syrian Army conducted another strike on Turkish forces in the province of Idlib. The strike was conducted in response to Turkish military support to the attack by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) and other radicals on the liberated town of Saraqib. After this the Turkish defense ministry claimed that 101 Syrian personnel were killed in Turkish attacks. The problem is that nobody has seen thse ‘101 Assad fighters’, while photos of the destroyed Turkish equipment are already here.

Didn’t they say they killed 101 SAA soldiers? With what?
First they got lost going to idlib and missed Saqarib battle

Second they got stuck in the mud
Third they got obliterated by air strikes.
What kind of geniuses we’re dealing with here?
    Turkey is a paper tiger.

    • Pantagruel

Turks are stupid. There is no use of even the most expensive military hardware if it is being operated by semi-literate people.

      • Tudor Miron

Turkish army was massively purged after that last coup attempt. What is left is very loyal but not very professional.

        • Selbstdenker

Loyal is the new word for stupid nowadays?

          • Tudor Miron

            It depends.

          • Semper Prudens

You obviously must be very stupid to stay loyal to such a lier like Erdogan.

          • FlorianGeyer

It is when ones boss is a moron.

        • S Melanson

Exactly, I posted a parody above on that. Similar to the effects of the Stalin purges, fortunately talented officers like Zhukov and Rokossovsky began to fill the leadership gaps.

          • Tudor Miron

It was very different with Stalin’s purges. Very, very different. There’s very good video material (unfortunately in Russian) that I would highly recommend. Yes, we lost lots of professionals but there was no other way, unfortunately – this was one of the reason why Stalin was trying to delay Germany’s invasion as much as possible. In fact it was supposed to start in 38-39 and that was a big win of Russian diplomacy that they won a couple of crucial years.

          • Tudor Miron
      • FlorianGeyer

        Just like the Saudi’s really.

The type of people who store coal in their bathtub :)

    • anders hansen

      Can you translate

      • Wegan

Basically, he said they showed up in their doorsteps, and the Turks stayed behind closed doors afraid to stick their heads out. There is mention of cowardice.
But really they are just isolated and they can’t defend themselves. Bad Turkish planning.

        • anders hansen

          Thx

  • art poirot

    Meanwhile on CNN…

“Assad regime force bombed and killed 8 Turkish tourists on while they were standing in line to ride the ferris-wheel today”

    Haha

    • Selbstdenker

I wonder why they have two ferris wheels so close together. Is it some famous amusement park?

      • Xoli Xoli

No it is Syrian stolen Turkey holiday resort.

      • FlorianGeyer

        Turkeyland I think.

      • Bob

Turkish Islamist proxies and TAF are renowned for dismantling and looting Syrian infrastructure – especially metal structures – to sell on secondary markets inside Turkey. Turkish industry has been absorbing masses of looted Syrian materials – everything from lamp posts to hospital beds – for best part of a decade.

    • FlorianGeyer

      Very droll :)

    • Liberal guy

Hey not all is destroyed the modern ottomans have won look they even could not harm the giant wheel behind that’s the modern ottoman symbol

    • ziad welder

look like a bunch of turk carnies trying to join the circus and got wiped out with heavy equipment still on the trucks lol

    • Zionism = EVIL

That is what a cooked shoot looks like. The dumbass arseholes have lost heavy duty ROFLMAO. Looks like SU-25 armor piercing rounds have been used quite liberally.

    • Tommy Jensen

some of them were children with a teddybear.

  • Caesar

Armour without air cover seems to be sucidal. It is Incredible that a Leopard 2 tank has been burned like a cartoon box !

    • BlueHeadLizard

Are Russia + Syria giving the air cover above Idlib? Turkey or Israel jets would be targetted by SAMS or Russia / Syria jets in Idlib airspace?

      • FlorianGeyer

I would think that Syrian and Russian air defences are on high alert.

        • Pave Way IV

No real air defense up there by either side, Florian. Russia can see everything on long-range surveillance radar, but there’s really no medium or short-range air defense. Even for Aleppo. That all might change now though.

    • kostas4X4

      This was done by artillery

      • Caesar

In that case I would say SAA artillery did a professionel job !

        • FlorianGeyer

SAA artillery has been trained by the worlds artillery experts. Russia.

          • Caesar

            Hi Florian,
            You are right. 😊

          • Kananda

            uups!

            that is tragedy!

russians trained also the air defence guys. and finally they shot down a russian surveillance plane. :(

          • Selbstdenker

Could have been a 2k25 Krasnopol. Laser guided and fairly accurate.

      • Bob

Recall the devastation to Ukrainian armor and personnel carriers at the Debaltse pocket – Grad rockets and 120mm howitzers can do lot of damage when vehicles are traveling on known and pre-targeted roadways.

    • freewheelinfranklin543

      Leopard II.

  • Xoli Xoli

Destroy all observations post of Turkey soldiers.

    • Lupus

Put all the Turks inside in prison, execut them one by one when Erdogan attacks again and broadcast that live on Turkish television.

      • Xoli Xoli

I hope their arrest them tonight and the rest will surrender.

      • EveryoneIsBiased

Then you unite the whole country behind Erdogan, forcing everyone in line, and escalate total war, and Syrian loosing even the small diplomatic support it has.
Turks are not Americans. in the german mosques, the turkish children are already sowrn in to die for Erdogan. In ceremonys for school children.

      • FlorianGeyer

How about making them walk home across the desert via South East Syria with Kurdish guards.

It could be an Armenian style genocide 2.0 :)

  • palegreendot

That’s more like it. Give an RPG or ATGM to every SAA soldier and ally. Should have enough considering the arsenals recovered from Obama’s jihadis.

  • Wegan

Here is a video in Arabic, where a logistics guy takes a video near a turkish observation point in plain daylight. The Turks are hiding. They are afraid to show their heads. So much for the Turkish might.
    Freaking paper tigers.

    • Xoli Xoli

      Please give us the link.

    • igybundy

I wouldn’t say turks are paper anything, everyone gives them an A+ in their enthusiasm to go die.. But just plain dying wont win battles. They used to use kidnapped christians for it before.. Was very effective when the other side could not kill enough of them fast enough. Not so good once machine guns came onto the battle field.

  • Mike

    Fuck yeah.

  • Maurizio Pucci

Vlad III of Valacchia approves this raid

  • Assad must stay

    hahahaha simply beautiful

  • Damien C

    Quite accurate targeting

    • igybundy

SAA Tiger forces, its the best Syrian unit mostly special ops types thats freed Syria from some of the toughest areas and overcome all kinds of tactics.. They are also the only unit with embedded Russian advisors and close air support. Pretty much saying if they are some place then thats the Russian tactic..

Also 4 Russian MP’s and 4 Russian FSB special ops died even behind the lines the last week due to this turkish behaviour.. Someone has to pay for that.

  • MeMad Max

Yep, best way to do it is to catch em while they are still on the flatbeds.

    Turks are amateurs.

    Go SAA!

  • Xoli Xoli

SAA has upper hand in this war.Their need to split up in battalions.Hitting convoy is very easy.First hit first three trucks, two in the middle and the last three at the back. Then every body in the convoy is confused and just starts panicking. Then rifle force must 9pen fire and clear fleeing Turkey soldiers.RPG squad should keep on bombing convoy armored cars until there is nothing left.always camouflaged and dug in.Kill all Turkey soldiers and arrest crazy Erdogan.Poke his eyes out and airdrop him in PKK zone.

    • Selbstdenker

Just destroy all tankers with fuel. No fuel, no drive.

      • Xoli Xoli

        Clever plan just do it.

      • Xoli Xoli

True no fuel no drive no Syrian oil no Idlip friendship.

  • Tudor Miron

    Oops!

  • James Kira

even if asshead takes all of idlib, we will still f7vk you up.

    Just look at the statistics.

But now that Turkey is pissed, you are double f7vked.

    • Tudor Miron

Cry some more. But it would not help. Statistics? Lol.

      • Josiah Gaxx Isaboke

He cried himself to sleep …Hahahahahahahahhahahahah!!!!!

  • BlueHeadLizard

Can someone explain Erdogan’s thinking; invading Russia’s ally Syria land while at the same time purchasing Russia S-400’s?

    • igybundy

Syria is getting attacked by like 80 countries making up almost 80% of the worlds GDP.. You can get a little arrogant when a whole bunch of fatties are kicking the little runt around for a while.. Until the runt starts taking them out one by one.. SAA dont want to face strong forces that it knows it cant defeat. But you stick your dick out and getting it wacked should make you rethink maybe.. the little runt is not going to be such a push over.. One of these days SyAF wll take out those IDF over lebanon and golan heights who keeps bombing it every other day as well.

      • FlorianGeyer

When the time is right for Syria that will happen and as you say, it will be payback.

    • FlorianGeyer

      Sociopaths are always irrational.

    • Dick Von Dast’Ard

      Future Turkish-Greek conflict.

  • BlueHeadLizard

I suppose a tank on a transport truck is a massive sitting duck target for SAA compared to a Rebel hiding in a bunker under his family.

  • Xoli Xoli

Erdogan and his terrorists were got off hand while busy raping gaots and camels.

  • Tudor Miron

In fact I feel sorry for Turkish soldiers having to pay with their lives for Erdo’s silly games. I can see him searching for guilty generals (who mislead him and he “didn’t know” that it was terrorists that they were helping) to put the blame on someone other than himself.

    • Selbstdenker

He should know whom he is dealing with. His son was heavily involved in the stolen oil trade with ISIS. For sure Erdogan was in the picture as well.

      • Tudor Miron

He knows. But Erdo can’t admit that he’s wrong. He will find someone “guilty”.

        • Kananda

So, Putin makes business with ISIS. Pfuy!

  • Xoli Xoli

I like the pictures.Maybe Merkel is saying zwinahund Erdogan ima kafar.Nato General are laughing at one man rule stupidity of Erdogan.

  • good american

I thought people were being facetious when they said “Turkish holiday resorts in idlib”, but seeing the Ferris Wheels behind the burned out tank is believing.

    • Xoli Xoli

      It really makes since.

    • FlorianGeyer

      Lol. It certainly is :)

  • Assad must stay

SAA is like steven segal and these torkis are like thugs trying to take him down but they all get manhandled hahahaha

    • Ronald

Steven Segal does train SAA, proof positive, thought you knew that :)

    • Islamic Power

dont be so confident with SAA, theyve been manhandled by bunch of rebels for the majority of the war until russia came in buying out FSA commanders with bribes and suppressing them with air/ground support. dont forget, ISIS sided with SAA to infiltrate and destroy rebel forces

      • Assad must stay

another useless idiot, fuck off idiot

Someone needs to create a meme of a roasted Turkey.

  • Xoli Xoli

No wonder Britain called Erdogans country Turkey.Because Erdogan sounds like Turkey when he talks.Alu bagahula kulukalu.Putin should divert Erdogan phone calls to SAA command center.Or he should put Erdogan phone calls on speaker so that the whole world humanity can hear that rubbish.

  • Xoli Xoli

Dont let Turkey soldiers sleep tonight. Sabotage their hideouts and rusty armor trucks.Bomb Turkey shit out if them.

  • S Melanson

Erdogan pacing back and forth in the presence of his military advisors: You promised me swift and glorious victory. With how this is going You would think the goal is to rival the incompetence of the Coalition in Yemen!!!”

Military Advisor: Oh Grand Sultan Erdogan the Magnificant, of course we will meet your expectations and in fact exceed your expectations by being even more incompetent then the Coalition!

Erdogan glares at his advisor and then over to his Foreign Minister: so this is the creme of the crop coming out of our military academies!

Foreign Minister: Yes, the best we had executed following the purge. This is what is left, sycophant toadies that adore you while collectively they are dumber than a crate of anvils. Not to mention this advisor actually thinks we can outdo the Coalition in incompetence… impossible.

Military Advisor wipes his brow with a sigh of relief: Does that mean you will be satisfied if we just match their incompetence…

    Erdogan: Get OUT!

Military advisor high tails out of there and brushes past Erdogan’s personal secretary holding a diplomatic note which is promptly handed to a seething Erdogan.

Memo is on pink perfumed paper and is from Assad and states: My Dearest Grand Sultan (wannabe) Erdogan, I know the recent setbacks must have caused you great anxiety and stress and I am worried about you. This is why I have enclosed a plane ticket for you to travel to Wuhan City where you will stay at a relaxing one star hotel overlooking (downwind) Wihan’s largest crematorium. Enjoy, love and kisses Assad.

  • Ronald

“And The Light shone on the darkness, but the darkness knew It not”.

  • The Syrian government must take iblib by all cost, the Turkey governments will not get an inch of Syria to rebuild they dream of the ottoman empire. The CIA did all it could have done to remove Asad and to partition the country in three and the plan fail but they succeeded in decreasing the Syrian military strength by a large fold .

  • mhtsaropinigitakis

those turks have been carrying the tanks on the trucks for so many months back and forth…dont they freaking understand they need to unload the trucks and sent the tanks on their own?

  • World_Eye

Haha ohoho nice, I love these unknown planes. Please keep delivering goods SAA.

    • Kananda

      IAF F-35

  • Vollkrassmann

Holy shit! Seems that things went wrong in this attack against a non-aggressive neighbor country.
Hey Erdogan, is this damage in any balance to the fanatic protection of beheaders and political weirdos? Or is there any other reward from somewhere else to make the equation any better?
Or did you expect to offer your soldiers some holidays in the OB posts in Syrian resorts?
And did you already order new tanks from Merkel’s Germany to let the show go on?

  • Bru

I hope that all the Turkish terrorists occupying and invading Syria and Irak will be destroyed and that the Sultan will receive the same end as the former ISIS leader (whom, being also a terrorist he long supported before betraying him).

  • Dawn

Good think that Erdogan left some hostages (observation posts personnel) to the Syrian army.. They have a good leverage now :)

  • Bill Wilson

I bet the Turks miss their truckload of rations more than the tank.

    • pbecke

No. they’d be expendable, wouldn’t they ? If, as Gordon states on Press TV today, even battle-defeats wouldn’t be mentioned in Tukey.

  • gustavo

Just great, keep on going this way.

  • Leon De Elias

Russian artillery..Possible BM21 Grad or even Uragan..If the artillery men are well trained they can do a big harm with those units..Just like against the Ukraine army in the Donbass..

  • Islamic Power

very exciting, very curious to see what happens

  • Maximus Decimus Meridius

Last week, 14 Russian soldiers died, 4 of them in the category of senior officers. Also, those who carried out this attack are Russian air force. Do not try to glorify yourself by insulting the Turks. There are 4 million refugees coming to Turkey in Idlib and all. To protect the borders of Turkey

    • Josiah Gaxx Isaboke

14 Russian soldiers? Are trying to spread propaganda in a website where people are looking for independent News away from the Mainstream propaganda machines? Are you for real or just abnormal? Last week 4 Russian soldiers died and 8 Turkey soldiers got smoked. This week 5 Turkish soldiers got smoked. We follow the News and deduct what is real and what is not…I will give you 1000$ buck if you show me an independent site that shows 14 Russian soldiers killed….I will give you last week’s numbers https://www.washingtonpost.com/

      • Maximus Decimus Meridius

        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_Armed_Forces_casualties_in_Syria
NOW YOU HAVE $ 1000 DEBT YOU NEED TO PAY ME. PLEASE REVIEW THE LIST AND ADD THE LAST 6 FEBRUARY RUSSIAN LOSSES.

        • Josiah Gaxx Isaboke

WIKIPEDIA? WIKIPEDIA IS YOUR NEWS SOURCE? I can bet 1000$ more that you are American because no other humans are that daft…And your wikipedia says says they died IN ALEPPO. Did you even bother to fact check the page? It shows 4 were killed…FOUR! Not FOURTEEN like you claimed. This is how indoctrinated sheeple are fooled by the Mainstream media because they never bother to read the articled or fac check information….Hahahhahahhahahhaha! I happen to be an independent journalist you know

          • Maximus Decimus Meridius

Is he dead? What does Aleppo or Idlip notice? I said there are 13 losses, I gave you the source, believe it or not, I don’t care. There are references at the bottom. Also, I think it is weak to read and write. ” The following is a list of the fatal casualties among the regular Russian Armed Forces ” oki.
            2020 year 18 January 4 losses – 1 February 4 losses – 6 February 4 losses – (1 new loss is not listed yet) Total 13

          • Josiah Gaxx Isaboke

“Last week, 14 Russian soldiers died, 4 of them in the category of Seniour Officers” .You might not have a grasp on the English language or you totally ignored what you wrote in the beginning….NOW YOU ARE TELLING ME “ALL THE LOSES ARE FROM JANUARY 2020…I am not a baby you know. hahahahhahahaha!I bet i caught your lie and you must be some CIA TROLL HERE…Go get treated from TBI!!! Trust me, you need it

          • Maximus Decimus Meridius

yes last weeks too….not much but

        • Josiah Gaxx Isaboke

I can’t review the site because i am not a western propaganda tool…I bet you googled looking for “14 RUSSIAN SOLDIERS KILLED IN IDLIB BY TURKISH SOLDIERS” and got zero so you resulted to Wikipedia and asked me to add to the list so you can get yourself off to FAKE NEWS!!! Wikipedia might be fake but at least they try to hide it. Even WESTERN FAKE NEWS DON’T HAVE YOUR NUMBERS WHICH TELL ME YOU MUST BE ONE DESPERATE LOSER. Give up already

          • Maximus Decimus Meridius

You are right, this is not a Russian site !!!!!, you are not making Russian propaganda !!!!!! You are right, no Russian died, we are false pitiful people. You are righteous servants whom God loves. Are you happy

          • Maximus Decimus Meridius

Read my article again, is the idlip dead too? Is it Syria?

”Last week, 14 Russian soldiers died, 4 of them in the category of senior officers. Also, those who carried out this attack are Russian air force. • Josiah Gaxx Isaboke

Go try to fool MSM sheep! You can’t manage that with informed smart people here

  • Davki

How do we know where those pics were taken and when? What do they actually show?
Conversely, if Turkey actually killed SAA soldiers (impossible to know their exact numbers, of course) why would anybody show them if they’re in SAA-held territory?

  • lovethemapples

Very wrong opinion here that Turkey is losing. Syrian troops didn’t enter Turkey, Turkish troops are currently within Syrian territory, fighting in Idlib to slow down Syrian/Russian forces from concentrating on SDF. Oil from SDF controlled areas are flowing to Turkey at a cheap prize. Only loser here is Syria.
Turkey gets oil cheap boosting its economy.
US getting majority of revenue from oil sales
SDF getting some share from the sales
Russia bombing terrorists, while sending the bill for bombs to Syrian government, and having Syria owe massive amount through credits and future oil contract guarantees.

Of course this is not endless and Syria will eventually restore its sovereignty, but until that happens it is a loser.

    • Josiah Gaxx Isaboke

Wow!Sore loser is you!!! Syrian army came from controlling 25% in 2012 to now 90% of Syria,,,How are they losing? Are they retreating? Didn’t Turkey and NATO friends cry when SAA was getting Aleppo back? They are fighting to get what is their back and you say they are losers? You must be really stupid or really hurt your head choppers will run away to Turkey soon

      • lovethemapples

Getting something back is not winning. Lets say you had 20apples, I took 15 of them, then you took 10 back. You are still -5, I am +5. I am winning you are losing. Unless Syria regains control of 100%, they are on a loss.
I might be a loser, stupid or whatever but much better in math seems like.

    • pbecke

He who laughs last laughs longest. You have a curious perspective, unless you favour Syria’s enemies.

      • lovethemapples

One doesn’t need to favor any party to have an opinion on a matter. It is a simple math, if your territory is under control of another country, you are loser. “Loser” here is not used as a derogatory term, but literal meaning of the word. You lose something, you are a loser.

        • pbecke

So, you think that, during WWII, when the US and Allied troops were approaching Germany from Italy and France, and the Russians were routing what remained of the German army in Russia back to Berlin, they were losing the war – and the Germans winning it ? A novel ‘take’ on it for sure.

          • lovethemapples

Until a point when the allied forces were within the German territory yes. If German troops were on a terrotory outside of Germany, of course it means that they are controlling more territories that they are entitled to, hence in a win

  • ivan cohen

turks learned from ammerrecans to attack civilians but not ready to combat with soldiers equipped and ready to retake their sovereign territories. And for that ammerrecans also today are going home leaving Iraq, all of that thanks to idiotic behavior of trumpete and their fascist friends
