Syrian security forces have discovered two other weapons chances left behind by militants in the coutnrysides of Homs and Damascus, according to the SANA.

In homs, the weapons and ammunition were discovered in Talbiseh and al-Farhaniya farms in the northern countryside of the province. In the Damascus southwestern countryside security forces discovered weapons and ammunition in Wadi Buhairan.

Members of militant groups, which were defeated by Syrian government forces, have prepared multiple hidden weapons chances across areas, which are now under government control. These weapons and ammunition pose a security threat to the liberated areas because they could be used in terrorist attacks or crime activity by former members of militant groups and of terrorist sleeper cells.

The soil looks good, but the ammo wouldn’t fit any of the hunting rifles shown.

These are going to be around for decades to come, long after even the headchoppers have forgotten them. So that Syrian farmers and construction workers will still find caches in a hundred years time. Just like they still find unexploded ordnance from both world wars in Europe. I hear its so normal in Flanders that farmers have special shacks where they store old bombs and grenades into, before Belgian engineers come to dispose of them. It hardly phases them any more. Just part of their job.

A few guns and boxes of ammo, most militias in Syria would have that much stuff for every person.
What will they find in Ar Raqqah and Al Hasakah? Isis was there for 4 years in some places, and it captured heaps of tanks, artillery and heavy weapons when they first invaded, only some of it has been destroyed or recaptured, it’s got to be out there somewhere, hidden under the SDF’s noses.

Just the tip of the iceberg. There are weapons and ammo caches all over Syria. This is the cache of one individual, must be a local.
