On June 1, pro-government sources released a video showing some of the massive loses Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) sustained during its recent failed attack on the town of al-Hwaiz in northwestern Hama.
The video, which SouthFront chose not to share, shows at least eight burned bodies scattered around a destroyed armored vehicle of HTS. The vehicle was reportedly destroyed by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) with an anti-tank guided missile (ATGM).
HTS’ news network, Iba’a, released photos showing special forces fighters of the terrorist group aboard the same vehicle when the attack began on May 31.
Besides the eight bodies seen in the video, opposition activists announced that eleven fighters of HTS’ allies were killed in the failed attack.
The Turkish-backed National Front for Liberation (NFL) and several al-Qaeda-affiliated groups participated in the attack, which violated a 48-hour ceasefire agreement announced on the same day.
