Houthis Repel Attack Of Saudi-led Coalition West Of al-Tuhayat (Video)

On October 4, the Houthis repelled a new attack of the Saudi-led coalition and its Yemeni proxies on their positions west of the district center of al-Tuhayat on the western Yemeni coast, according to the Yemeni al-Masirah TV.

The Houthis’ media wing released a video of the clashes showing Houthi fighters killing several Saudi-backed Yemeni fighters and destroying a bulldozer and two pickup trucks armored with heavy machine guns.

Last month, the Houthis repelled a similar attack of the Saudi-led coalition on their positions in the vicinity of coalition-held al-Tuhayat. The district center was captured by coalition forces on July 6 after weeks of clashes. However, the Houthis maintained a strong presence around it.

The Saudi-led coalition is likely attempting to expand its control along the western coast of Yemen in order to secure its supply routes before launching a new offensive on the city of al-Hudaydah and its strategic port.

Al-Tuhaya is well South of Hodeidah and is not secure. The offensive on Hodeidah has been paused for three months now to allow time for negotiations and to bomb hospitals, food markets and school buses. The Coalition forgets to mention the seemingly less important reason for the ‘pause’ is that the original coalition force attacking Hodeidah was destroyed.

Currently, Coalition forces cannot even make meaningful progress on securing the western corridor for supplying a Coalition force sizeable enough to take Hodeidah – and can the Coalition even put together a force capable of taking the port city given no one wants to fight the highly capable Houthis given the incredible incompetence demonstrated by Coalition commanders.

The offensive on Hodeidah will remain ‘paused’ for the foreseeable future and the important action now is on the Saudi/Yemen border and in Southern Saudi territory.

Poor guys. Defending their stone houses, families, tribes, goat households in a poor desert country from Pentagon, Wall Street, Saudi Royals and the Financial District of London.

… and the Houthis are winning!

shouldn’t every politician that pushed for this be slaughtered ?

To be fair, every politician pushing for a war should be on the front lines of the same war.

Poor sad Wahhabi Orcs. Raping and murdering children and women isn’t nearly as much fun when the victims get to shoot back!
