On April 13, the Houthis artillery shelled a border post of the Saudi Army in the Maraj area in the southern part of the Saudi province of Najran, Yemeni al-Masirah TV reported.
The TV channel said that the shelling had killed several Saudi soldiers and had destroyed a M2A2 Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) of the Saudi Army.
Moreover, the Houthis shelled a second position of the Saudi Army in the al-Sudais area, near Maraj, in the province of Najran. Two vehicles of the Saudi Army were also destroyed by Houthi fighters with ATGMs around the same border post.
The Saudi-led coalition captured the Yemeni town of Midi on April 11 in an attempt to secure the Yemeni-Saudi border south of the province of Najran. However, these new attacks of the Houthis confirm that the coalition has failed to achieve its goal.
Observers believe that that Houthis will step up their cross border attacks against the Saudi Army in the Najran province during the upcoming days in order to pressure the Saudi-led coalition in Midi.
