On September 9, the Houthis (Ansar Allah) announced that their forces had conduced drone strikes on Abha International Airport in Saudi Arabia’s southwestern region of Asir.
According to Houthi sources, the series of strikes was delivered with Qasef-2K and Sammad-3 combat unmanned aerial vehicles (also can be used as loitering munitions).
The Houthis say that all the targets were hit with a “great precision” and the strikes themselves were a retaliatory move in response to the Saudi aggression.
In own turn, the Saudi military claimed that its forces shot down 2 Houthi drones during the last 24 hours. The Kingdom says that the Houthis intentionally target ‘civilian infrastructure’ in their attacks.
