Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) has resumed its operations in the city of Daraa. HTS forces are attacking the remaining Syrian Army points in the northern part of Al-Manshiyeh.
On April 15, HTS bombed one of the last headquarters of the Syrian Army in the northern part of the district with the heavy Omar missile. The group published photos of the attack on April 19.
On April 19, HTS claimed that it had managed to destroy a tank and a heavy rocket launcher belonging to the Syrian army in the al-Sajna district north of Al-Manshiyeh.
Menawhile, HTS used an explosive house to target the remaining Syrian Army positions in Al-Manshiyeh.
It should be noted that HTS used US-M58 MICLIC mine clearing rockets that the United States recently supplied to Al-Hasm (one of US-backed Free Syrian Army groups) to create “exposive houses” in Daraa.
Like any other weapons supplied to FSA in the past, US-M58 MICLIC mine clearing rockets found its way to the hands of HTS, a group with a common history with al-Qaeda. And HTS used these weapons against the Syrian army.
The FSA uses a US-M58 MICLIC mine clearing rocket against ISIS:
The Syrian and Russian air forces launched a heavy bombing campaign aimed at stopping HTS militants. Warplanes hit HTS units and positions in the Al-Sadd district, south of the Al-Karak reservoir, east of the Al-Masri roundabout and the Khansa’a school in the city of Daraa.
