Government Troops Liberate Two More Villages From Militants In Northern Hama (Map)

Late on August 10, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the Tiger Forces liberated the villages of Maghar al-Hamam and Maghar al-Hantah from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra) and its allies.

Earlier on the same day, government forces liberated the area of Tal Sukayk and advanced on the village of Sukayk, where clashes have been still ongoing.

In a separate development, the SAA and the 4th Armoured Division advanced on the village of Kbani in northern Lattakia. However, they were not able to break militants’ defense there.

The developments of August 10 demonstrate that the SAA is set to develop its military operation against radical militants in the southern part of the Idlib de-escalation zone despite a wide criticism by Western diplomats and mainstream media.

The Russian goal has always been to make Idlib a cauldron. It’s hard to prove a negative, but so many potential terrorist threats against Russia will perish in Idlib.

  • Mike

Good, this the best news I have heard in a while that and the infighting in Yemen between Saudi and UAE backed thugs. It also looks like Russia is quietly and slowly accepting the fact that two faced Turkey is not worth continued courting, since the Turkish spat with the U.S. is phony. Hopefully this means no more cease fires and ignoring any Turkish or Western bitching about Idlib.

    • JerryDrake

Russia is playing a much deeper game intended to create the conditions for Turkey to attack and destroy the SDF, as it is much easier to expel Turkey and Co. from Syria than USA and Co.

might look that way at first sight….but take into account, that Turkey is still a NATO member….yes Putin through a line in between Nato and Turkey with the S-400 delivery…but when going gets tough…..it all depends on erdogan…which side does he choose….if he chooses russias side..well yes..good News for syria…BUT if the Maniac erdogan, chooses Nato´s side(USA more or less) and gets several consessions by NATO(USA) in regards to North syria and east syria…..all bets are off!!
again it all depends on his choice………Putin made it very hard for erdogan to turn his back on Russia now because of not only the delivery of s-400, but because of the producing of the S-400 and S-500 which will also take place partly in Turkey, hence a technical and intelligence sharing Agreement.
ps. smart Zionist criminal Trrump did his part(sarcasm)….by delaying /abolishing the new Stealth fighter for Turkey…which again Plays into Putins Hands……but at the end of the day..it all boils down to the final concessions the USA puts on the table for erdogan in regards to North and east syria…..but they cant give him all and let the kurds get massacred for 1 simple reason LOLOL iraq Kurdistan Region….that Region the USA uses since 1992 to Control iraq politicly….if Folks asks themselves rightly why the hell iraq hasnt yet “asked” the US troops to leave..well the answer is simple…the iraq constitution was written by americans…lol…and ALL has to go through Parlament…and in iraqi Parlament are sitting dozens of kurds from the iraqi Kurdistan Region created during the No fly Zone era….and they have ofcourse deals with the USA not to vote for a US withdrawl. And exactly this quagmire is where the US is in now. They cannot betray the kurds in eastren syria without beiing betrayed themselves by kurds in iraq.
        well.. forest Gump said it

        “Shit happens”
        lol

        • JerryDrake

Either Turkey is with or against Russia, USA will not intervene because all shit happens in Syria, not Turkey. So, goal is that Turkey expel SDF and replace them with their proxies. USA gave only promises, or threats, nothing more.

This time no cease fire. Let the Tigers to liberate whole Syria from foreign thugs.

American regimes always have desire to interfere in internal affairs of other countries but if somebody a little interfere in US election so then they cry like crocks.

Is this why Trampa calls him Animal Assad??

  • Zionism = EVIL

The SAA strategy is sound and as I posted 2 days ago, cutting of the Turkeys supply route for terrorists on north-south axis road 5 is the key. A mere 2 kms pincer advance will expose the road to ATGM and mortar fire and the Turkeys are cooked. The SAA has learnt a lot on how to fight smart engagements using the advantage of local knowledge and terrain. Kudos from a professional point of view.

  • gustavo

Exactly, this pliers movement is what SAA must do right away and without any stupid ceasefire.
