According to the Hezbollah media wing in Syria, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) continued its advance north of the Homs-Palmyra road in the eastern Homs countryside where it had launched an attack from its positions east of Jabab Hamad and managed to capture Al-Alam Hill south of Taliaa al-Gharbia.

Meanwhile, the Russian Air Force carried out airstrikes on ISIS targets, destroying two ISIS combat units in the Jib al-Abyad area in the eastern Salamya countryside.

The ISIS-linked News Agency Amaq published photos of an attack by ISIS fighters on SAA positions in the vicinity of the Al-Musheirefah Hill in the eastern Homs countryside where two Syrian soldiers were killed.

Another video was published showing the previous ISIS attack on SAA positions in Wadi Al-Wa’r. The video showed the three Syrian soldiers captured by ISIS during its attack.

From its side, the SAA said that it had repelled the ISIS attack on its points west of the Hamima area in the province of Deir Ezzor. Furthermore the Hezbollah media wing in Syria said that the SAA killed 30 of ISIS fighters and injured more than 50 others during the clashes near Hamima. Sources from the SAA confirmed that SAA had not lost any point near the Syrian-Iraqi border.

According to local sources, government forces are going to resume the operation in the eastern Hama countryside within days. The SAA and its allies will attack Al-Aqerbar, one the most important ISIS strongholds in the area. The sources also said that Desert Hawks will participate in the operation again.

This is what happen, when you stop you advances for long time. Every army needs rest, rearm and regroup, but SAA has a pattern for advance little and stop for long time. Therefore, I am not surprised ISIS is attacking and making inflicting damage to SAA, and this will intensify.

  • G Dean VanGaya

It looks like the SDF will make it to Deir Ezzor first, especially now that they have Russian air support helping them down highway 4.

Don’t propagandize here. SDF are not the good guys. Russians are not helping SDF.

I suggest researching the YPG and TEV-DEM, the actual history, how they have and haven’t cooperated with the U.S. The Kurds are the Palestinians of Turkey, Iran and Syria. Look at the history. The Kurds are some of the oldest indigenous peoples in that part of the world and have been the most oppressed. There is a third narrative going on that isn’t a simple imperialists carve up vs. Assad the resistance of imperialism.

        • tigbear

Russia is for the legitimate government of Syria. Do not mix Kurdish problems brought on by themselves through their terrorist activity in Turkey in Syrian business. This has nothing to do with Syria.
Kurds are not Palestinians. No one likes them because they act as fifth columnists and pretend to be oppressed. So long as they stop their separatist activities and integrate, they get treated like everybody else This “oppression” business got started in the 1970s, whipped up by the Israelis and funded by the Americans. The intent was to destabilize Iran, Syria, and Iraq, enemy states of Israel. Do not even TRY to compare Palestinians’ situations with Kurdish, Mr. Zionist. They are just one of a dozen ethnicities in Syria. They are not special. They do not have the right to their own land.

          • G Dean VanGaya

The Kurds play off everyone, If you had had genocide committed on you like the Turks have done to Armenians and Kurds, you’d form a guerrilla movement of what’s left of your people too. Mossad also backed the ANC in S. Africa btw. The Kurds, in order to get free, have played everyone off each other to get free and not end up totally cornered and like the nothing the Palestinians now are. The Kurds have now switched to taking Saudi money from when they got Qatari money. The Kurds are the revolution, and almost no one else on the planet has an answer to the crony elitism whether in Damascus or Washington and London. The difference is the Kurds have ideological clarity. They are very well
read and understand capitalism, patriarchy and how to defeat it.

Nihilism and defeatism is so rampant the world over, that most people, like you, simply choose a lesser evil over the grand imperialist evil, instead of working for a new truth, for the r’evolution.

The Ba’athists had to save themselves by gutting the subsidies to the Syrian population, because their cronyism ran the economy into the ground. So the US (and probably Mossad) were able to take advantage of that and help organize the Syrian uprising (and there was a real uprising). There was no more hope for the average Syrian, and once the last of the subsidies was gone – powder keg, and of course there were powers waiting and ready to run their own fuses to it.

They are only one of a dozen ethnicities, and so the YPG turn over local councils to those ethnicities as the populations proportionally require representation in a respective town. Look at Manbij, it is real, the SDF is WAY more a democracy than the Ba’athists ever were.

If you got this part “If you had had genocide committed on you like the Turks have done to Armenians and Kurds, you’d form a guerrilla movement of what’s left of your people too.” wrong, the rest of the stuff you’ve written is also wrong.
What genocide have the Turks done to the Kurds?

What genocide have the Turks done to the Kurds? Kurds were the main people involved in killing Armenians. Saying “The Turks made us do it,” doesn’t wash. The Kurds were opportunists back then as they are now. While they were busy killing the Armenians, they robbed their homes of valuables and took their animals. Like now, they are poised to help in the genocide of Syrians, and stealing their resources. Are they later going to say, “The Yanks made us do it.”?

SAA may be capturing land from ISIS but they are losing land to SDF. No net gain of land and actual loss of territory. ISIS are placeholders. Wherever the Zionists want the SDF (America) to go, they will move ISIS. Bingo – SDF captures a large area of land for Americans (Zionists). Assad is dishonest. He doesn’t protect Syria’s sovereignty. He pretends to. Capturing land from ISIS is relatively easy. Doing the same from US-backed SDF is not so easy. Therefore, Assad avoids doing it. He wants others to make the sacrifice. Assad does not guard Syria and keep it for the Syrian people. As a result, large areas of territory will be conquered by SDF. What is the difference between Golan Heights and these tracts of land governed by SDF? Nothing. Israel controls all of them. SDF are PUPPETS.

    • Ronald

While I agree with you that the Kurds , who have been taken over by the SDF , are just puppets of the US / Israel , they and SAA have both been fighting the Saudi Wahhabi jihadists , in the form of ISIS , or Al Nusra . These barbarians almost took the whole country , but by mutual focus on them , they have been beaten back , and soon will be done as a military force .
So I think you are too hard on Assad , capturing land from ISIS or Al Qaeda has not been easy , these brainwashed jihadists , truly believe in their ideology .
When the jihadists are gone , the Kurds will need to decide if they are with Syria , or against it .
Just who do the Kurds think is going to buy their stolen oil , Turkey ?

      • tigbear

Looks like Zio-Yankees don’t care about the oil.

The SDF make many false claims such as capturing Dalha and Al-Aukirishi weeks ago that was untrue it is in the hands of the Tiger forces and its tribal allies the Sons of Raqqa . The SDF are soon only going to be Kurdish troops without any Arabs among their YPG army. They make erroneous claims about taking areas , just remember they are like the US make up false claims of captures and secured areas. The Tiger forces are going the M-4 to Deir Ezzoir, the US is going to need to ask the FSA back to join if not they lose the ability to defend and take land.

I lived in Istanbul back in ’96 when i was working with the
eco-village movement at the Habitat 2 conference. In Taksim square every
other Sunday or so, dozens of Kurdish mothers would gather, demanding
to know where their children who’d been disappeared were. So I read. Now
if you can appreciate how hard the Turks have suppressed the Armenian
genocide which is over, with almost no Armenian population left in
Turkey, imagine how hard they’ve worked to suppress their ongoing
attempts at genocide against the Kurds.
    Erdogan’s AKP lost a majority
in 2014, and what do you know, he suspends the peace talks, arrests the
Kurdish MPs, and bulldozes Kurdish cities and towns in the South East
of Turkey, with Kurds not allowed to travel out of their bantustans, not
allowed to enter onto their own streets most of the time. Just watch
some video, and you’ll see, and what you’ll see happening now and in the
last 2.5 years, has been the basic Turk position for over 100 years
now, with many massacres and even selling women into sexual slavery in
Istanbul. It’s all true. I talked to those powerless poor women who the
police swept aside most Sunday, and then I read.
    It doesn’t need to
be one elitist cronies (e,g, Damascus Ba’athists) vs the big imperial
elitist cronies of London and Washington. People like the Zapatista
indigenous in S. Mexico and the Kurds, who hate oppression, truly hate
it, because it has ruled over them for generations, have an alternative
to one big boss vs. another. Study it, don’t be a stool pigeon for
    oppression TigBear: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylCXj8Sfujw

And you do not say a word about the people who have been murdered by Kurdish terrorists – not a word about the Iranians, Turkish and Iraqis killed by Zio-backed Kurds. The world doesn’t revolve around the Kurds. Other humans exist in the world. Too late, the truth about Zio-backed Kurds has been out for decades, including how they worked with the Jewish Donmeh to kill Armenians. Armenians aren’t complete victims either. They killed Turkish as part of the Russian army.

        • tigbear

If the Armenians’ treachery had been not checked, a large scale slaughter of Turkish would have happened, and Turkey would have become part of the Russian empire. Who knows, it could have spent 80 years in the wilderness like the central Asian republics and Baltic republics that got sucked into the Jewish Bolshevik Empire that took over from the Russian Imperial Empire did. Yeah, so the truth is out and it’s not going back in. Can your crocodile tears, Zionist. Atrocity propaganda doesn’t work on the informed, just on the ignorant and the sheeplike.
