The situation remains tense in Syria’s Daraa province where the vestiges of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and allied militant groups are advancing against ISIS-affiliated group called Liwa Shuhada Yarmouk (LSY). Accroding to  premilitary reports, they captured the village of Ayn Thakar on April 20.

The military situation escalated in the province escalated in March, when LSY militants expanded their zone of the control pushing Al Nusra and FSA militants from the Sheikh Saad village and nearby areas.

Maybe it is because I am a bit color blind, but these maps are puzzling to me as I see only two colors present.

      Technically, there are four.
      ^.^

  • sorry, wimroffel, there are 3 colors… what i find more interesting is how the isis ‘affiliate’ stops exactly at the israeli border.

May be because of few hundreds Israeli tanks and special border control equipment, but who knows..
