Fresh footage appeared, showing the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) destroying a large group of ISIS fighters (over 40) near the town of Tal Afar west of Mosul. The whole group was destroyed.
What’s weird is the Peshmerga (3 red arrows at the start of the clip) didn’t attack the Da’ish unit. Good thing #Iraq‘s Hashd was there. pic.twitter.com/PjkxlgYlIb — Haidar Sumeri (@IraqiSecurity) February 2, 2017
Some users speculated that the PMU destroyed a group of “refugees”, claiming that this was the reason why Kurdish Peshmerga forces were not firing on them. However, no facts confirming this idea were provided.
