One of the most famous hacker groups Anonymous has issued a threat to Elon Musk, accusing the billionaire of having “destroyed lives” of retail investors with his tweets about cryptocurrencies.
“… recently your carefully created public image is being exposed, and people are beginning to see you as nothing more than another narcissistic rich dude who is desperate for attention.” – Anonymous claimed on the video.
On May 13, Elon Musk announced that Tesla would not accept bitcoins to pay for its electric vehicles, and the cryptocurrency rate collapsed by almost 20%.
“We are concerned about rapidly increasing use of fossil fules for Bitcoin mining and transactions, especially coal, which has the worst emissions of any fuel. Cryptocurrency is a good idea on many level and we believe it has a promising future, but this cannot come a great cost to the environment ”. – the statement reads.
In early February, Tesla made the largest Bitcoin investment of any public campaign, buying $ 1.5 billion in bitcoin. In six weeks, Tesla allowed US customers to buy cars using Bitcoin. At the same time, Musk was actively promoting Dogecoin in his tweets.
Then Elon Musk changed his mind and announced that Tesla was no longer accepting Bitcoin payments for its electric cars.

Anonymous group blamed Musk for “a clear disregard for the average working person” and that his “public temper tantrums have liquidated the dreams of hardworking individuals”.
“The games you have played with the crypto markets have destroyed lives. Millions of retail investors were really counting on their crypto gains to improve their lives.
This is something that you will never understand because you were born into the stolen wealth of a South African apartheid emerald mine and have no clue what struggle is like for most of the working people in the world.” – Anonymous stated in the video.
The hacking group stressed out that everyone knew to be prepared for volatility in crypto, but Musk’s Tweets had shown a clear disregard for the average working person, continually mocking them with memes in Twitter.
“You are just the only CEO who has gained a cult following through sh*tposting and trolling the world on social media.”
Anonymous described the hidden causes of Musk’s decision by his desire to play both sides of the fence. Since the vast majority of income of his company comes from government subsidies, selling carbon tax credits for your innovation with clean energy, they were likely used to buy bitcoins. Musk was forced to denounce his involvement with bitcoin in order to preserve the flow of revenue from the government.
“Tesla has also made more money holding Bitcoin for a few months than they did in years of selling cars.
The energy use argument about proof-of-work mining is a very nuanced conversation that requires a fairly complex understanding of how now power grids work, and how excess energy is wasted by power companies, and sought out by crypto miners. This is a conversation you have been having for over a year and were intimately aware of, but as soon as your main source of income was threatened you pretended to be clueless in an attempt to play both sides of the fence.”
Musk’s move to create a Bitcoin miner council was claimed to be an attempt to centralize the industry and take it under your control.
Amid the accusations that Musk’s intentions “to save the world” are nothing more but “a superiority and savior complex”, he was reminded that he even was not a real founder of Tesla company. He purchased it from Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning.
Anonymous also cited the example of numerous complaints by Tesla employees over intolerable working conditions faced by them in the past years, mentioning young children employed in lithium mines, getting the major component of lithium-ion batteries used in electric cars and other electronic devices.
Moreover, Anonymous reminded Musk that he was “not the only show in town” and that the competition is steadily growing in the field of space exploration and the production of electric vehicles
Elon Musk is still to comment on the threats by Anonymous. However, shortly after the video was shared online, the Tesla CEO had published a tweet saying “Don’t kill what you hate, Save what you love,” and had changed his profile picture. It is still not evident if it was made in response to the video threats.
Don’t kill what you hate,
Save what you love

Meanwhile, the community of Musk’s haters is growing. Recently, the StopElon token was released on the cryptocurrency market. It is aimed at “destroying the biggest manipulator of the market”. Using this token, anonymous enthusiasts are going to get rich and buy 80% of Tesla shares, depriving Elon Musk of control over the company.
StopElon was launched on May 15 and since its price has significantly increased. The new token is actively promoted on the Reddit platform, which has already had an impact on the market, for example, in the case of the GamaStop campaign.
For our part, SF will soon tell you how some exchanges actually manipulate their customer’s accounts, when any significant funds are invested, and how they directly depend on the CIA despite assurances of complete independence.
