Clashes between Syrian soldiers and members of the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group south of the Kuweires airbase in eastern Aleppo claimed lives of at least 10 terrorists of the group.
At least 10 terrorists were killed and several others were wounded during fierce clashes between the Syrian Army, supported by the National Defense Forces (NDF), and members of the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group south of the Kuweires airbase in eastern Aleppo, the Fars news agency reported on Sunday, citing military sources.
As the sources said, fierce clashes between the Syrian government forces and IS terrorists took place in the vicinity of the aviation academy near the highway from Aleppo to Raqqa. As result, at least 10 terrorists were killed, and their military vehicles were destroyed during the clashes.
According to earlier today’s reports, after hours of a fierce battle, the Jaish al-Fatah was pushed back from its positions in the northern outskirts of the city of Aleppo by the Syrian Armed Forces and the NDF.
Jeish al-Fatah terrorists suffered heavy losses and were driven out from al-Oweijeh, located close to al-Jandoul square.
