On October 18, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) leader Abu Mohammad al-Julani appeared in a propaganda video released by the HTS media agency Amjad. The subject of the new video was the last HTS attack on Abu Dali village in the northern Hama countryside.
The Russian Defense ministry claimed back on October 4, that al-Julani has fallen into a coma, and lost an arm following a Russian surgical strike on the terrorist group’s top commanders in Syria’s Idlib governorate. Now we can say that these claims were false.
In the propaganda video, al-Jolani stressed that the military solution is the only choice of HTS. Al-Julani also said that the last HTS attack in the northern Hama countryside was carried out to encourage the people who abandon the military solution to come back to it.
“Our military option is our capital that we will never give up on it, never give up on it … we pause as a fighter’s break so we reorganize ourselves and prepare to attack … but to remove the military option from our options, our enemies can’t even dream about that” Al-Julani said.
The video released by Amjad is a clear message that HTS will never stop fighting any side that oppose it, and not only the Syrian Arab Army. Previously, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other supporters of the Syrian radicals worked to rebrand HTS, and even promoted to accept it as a part of the “moderate opposition” in Syria. Al-Julani statement proves that these efforts have resulted in no success.
