Afghan President Seeks a Dialogue with Taliban

The Afghan president, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, stated on Tuesday that Kabul is ready for peace talks with Taliban if militants will halt their attacks.

The Ghani’s statement is an important feature of the irreversible process of the Taliban’s legalisation which will affect positively situation in the country. It’s a commonplace that tools of political competition are less destructive than military actions.

In July, representatives of Kabul and Taliban set a first meeting in Pakistan to develop an approach to make a peaceful solution of the crisis.
