On October 7, a number of journalists in the Defense Department press corps shared pictures and videos of the mysterious malfunction on Pentagon TV screensh.
The glitch showed an image with the word “Hezbollah” in all-caps at the top and bottom of the screen, with indecipherable text and graphics in the background. It happened on TV screensh showing CNN.
Literally not now, Hezbollah.

So this just popped up on my TV screen as I was watching @CNN …happened on at least two other screens at the Pentagon. @ChiefPentSpox —is this a Pentagon issue or CNN issue? Did Hezbollah just successfully hack into something? #breakingnews pic.twitter.com/TlUv6I6xug

An official version of the event that appeared later says that it was just a glitch in the middle of a promo for the third season of CNN’s “Declassified,” a docu-drama series about the US intelligence community.
