On April 20, units of Ansar Allah (the Houthis) captured the Al-Jufra military camp in the Yemeni province of Marib. The military camp had been one of the key defense positions of Saudi-led forces in the area. With the fall of the Al-Jufra military camp into the hands of Ansar Allah, the entire defense of Saudi-led forces in western Marib could collapse in the coming weeks.
