74 militants killed in Afghanistan: Afghan defense ministry

On Friday, the Afghan Defense Ministry said that some 74 militants have been killed and 11 others wounded in military operations conducted by Afghan security forces within one day.

According to the statement released by the ministry, the operations were launched in 12 provinces of the country’s 34 provinces since Thursday morning.

The statement also said that about 41 ISIS terrorists were among those killed and the joint security forces found and seized weapons.

However, the Taliban militants have intensified their attacks across the country since Tuesday when they started their so-called annual spring offensive code name “Operation Omari.”
