The Syrian Arab Army has successfully repelled ISIS attacks in the city of Deir Ezzor, killing at least 50 terrorists.
The ISIS launched a series of offensives with vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices (VBIEDs) on the Syrian troops positions in the al-Roshdiyeh district of the city, Iranian news agency Farsnews reported on June 21.
According to the report, the ISIS terrorist group lost at least 50 fighters dead and “many more wounded” during the attempts to break the SAA’s defensive positions.
Clashes between the SAA and ISIS were also observed in the al-Sina’ah district.
We remember allied militias have reportedly reinforced the SAA contingent in the strategic city of Deir Ezzor. This allows the SAA to hold the ground despite constant attacks of the terrorist group in the area.
