According to Tolo news report, at least, 26 Taliban insurgents were killed and 10 other injured in a military operation in Afghanistan’s northern Kunduz province.

It is reported that the operation took place yesterday and was launched in Dasht-e-Archi, Chahardara districts and Kunduz city.

The report also said citing military officials that weapons were recovered during the operation and the operation was ongoing.

Taliban insurgents has been frequently raiding  Dasht-e-Archi and Chahardar districts in the province.

After the United States and its allies attacked the country as part of Washington’s so-called war on terror, Afghanistan has been gripped by terror for more than 14 years. Although the 2001 attack overthrew the Taliban, still it poses a significant security threat in Afghanistan.
