25 Killed, 51 Injured In US Strikes On Kataib Hezbollah Positions In Syria, Iraq

At least 25 people were killed and 51 others were injured in US strikes on positions of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) in Syria and Iraq on December 29 evening, according to Iraqi sources.

Following the strikes, the US military issued a statement claiming that it struck positions of Kataib Hezbollah (Iranian-backed) in response to attacks on US facilities. Washington also blamed Kataib Hezbollah for the recent attack on the US military base in Iraq’s Kirkuk, which killed a US contractor and injured several US soldiers.

According to the PMU, the targeted Kataib Hezbollah forces belonged to brigades 45 and 46 of the PMU. The PMU is an official part of the Iraqi Armed Forces. Therefore, it appears that the US just conducted a strike on the military of its formal ally.

      • gryzor84

Reality spoke otherwise when they took down a 230 Million-dollar Triton drone and nothing happened on the US side afterwards despite a lot of Donald’s blah blah and blah. Are you in need of some good news to forget what’s happening on the Idlib front, Mustafa ? ;-)

        • bob

Don’t worry they’ll be a reckoning for Iran very soon and when it happens it’ll be far more destructive than a few cruise missiles!

And it’ll be the Iranian people sick of this terrible regime of religious mad men who’ll do the job

All America has to do is sit back, turn up the maximum pressure, and wait

          • gryzor84

Whatever you say, bobby. That method doesn’t seem to have made wonders over the past 40 years or so, other than to starve the average Iranian further and lower the traditional sympathy that the younger generation had towards Washington, by allowing the regime to pin the blame on external factors and hide its own level of endemic corruption. But if thinking that helps you sleep better at nights, be my guest in believing so.

Retaliate? You’re joking right? Retaliate with their puny Katyusha rockets? And have the USAF neutralize another 50+ Shia terrorists? Be realistic.

        • gryzor84

Boy we don’t give a shit about your life, past, present or future, so why do you tell it ? Oh, and you’re still a kid, adults don’t speak or think your way, only retards do. You can pick which one you are.

        • Azriel Herskowitz

          Why thank you Jacob!

          • Fog of War

That made no sense whatsoever. Please go home and come back with something more logical.

      • gryzor84

they did that exactly during 8 years of insurgency that spanned the entire illegal US occupation period post-2003 in Iraq. And if they push that little game of their too far, it’ll spiral out of control as well. Same with the Vietcong in their time. In both cases, smaller losses by the US but a ruined economy and exploding debt. And a couple fanboy childishly doing some self-inflating chest pumping because they saw a couple nice bombs drop in a black & white FLIR screen. Nothing out of the ordinary. As far as I’m concerned though, I’m totally fine with both US occupiers and Shia zealots tearing as much as they want of each other apart ! Game On lol xD

        • roland

Those Shia zealots will play a big part in saving the world one day

      • roland

The world is waking up to you LOOK OUT

    • Jake321

Yes they can and yes they will, as usual. Islamist Iran doesn’t want them to get Iran in a devastating war with the US and Israel, etc.

  • bob
