On March 21, the Hezbollah media wing reported that the Syrian government and the Ahrar al-Sham Movement had reached an agreement in order to evacuate Ahrar al-Sham fighters from the Harasta district in the Damascus subrub of Eastern Ghouta to the northern governorate of Idlib.

Over the past week, several Syrian pro-government and opposition sources reported that the Damascus government and the Ahrar al-Sham Movement had been negotiating with help from Russia. Turkey supported the negotiations and pressured Ahrar al-Sham to accept the evacuation agreement, according to the sources.

Over 1,500 Ahrar al-Sham fighters along with 6,000 civilians are set to leave the Harasta district on March 22, according to the Hezbollah media wing.

A source in the SAA’s 4th Armoured Division confirmed to SouthFornt that the Ahrar al-Sham Movement had started burning its headquarters and ammo depots in Harasta in a clear sign of its commitment to the agreement. Several previous agreements to evacuate Ahrar al-Sham fighters from Harasta have failed, according to the source.

The Ahrar al-Sham Movement was behind the attack on the SAA’s Armored Vehicles Base, which started on November 14, 2017. According to local observers, this offensive triggered the ongoing large military operation by the SAA and its allies in the Eastern Ghouta region.

More Jihadis heading to Idlib. What happens in Idlib? Will they all fight among themselves or de-mob or take up arms again and go fight with the Turks? or disappear across the border and back to their bases in US, France and UK?

    • All of the above. Many will join the SLF (Salafist Lamb Fuckers) who are puppets of Sultan Erdogan.

      • northerntruthseeker .

Others will join the Israeli Dog Fuckers (IDF) group and rebrand themselves as “ISIS” once again

        • Bru

Excellent, and let us not forget the Shitty Dog Fuckers (SDF)…

          • FlorianGeyer

Do all these stray dogs mean that Erdodog will be fucked by the strays soon ?

      • jerel

        Excellent point.

    • adzsiam

How sure are you they the won’t ‘band together’ to cause problems for the SAA again?

      • FlorianGeyer

Essentially all the terrorists are criminal gangs controlled by warlords and all they seek is personal gain. They change allegiances to the 3 kings. Erdogan , USA and Saudi Arabia depending on who offers the most and where the best plunder is.

        • Brad Isherwood

          Saudi payroll Master. ..

They will continue the fight. Their masters will give them no choice. But Idlib-jihadistan is to an extent a controllable proposition. Nutters firing mortars into Damascus every day has been a massive problem for the state and sapping for SAA morale. Soon it will be one big problem less. After all, the job of a proper military is to keep civilians safe. That’s what’s happening here.

    • Attrition47

They’ll fight amongst themselves for a bit and then get overrun like they did in eastern Idlib.

    • You can call me Al

You beat me too it. I don’t understand the logic, unless someone will drop a small nuke on the area later.

      • Rizzzzzzz

Secures Damascus in the short term. But atleast when they do start offensive in idlib numbers dont absolutely matter .Them groups if not fight amongst themselves .They have to support, arm and feed them extra fighters as well . Which is easier said then done. So it be easier to fight on idlib front then too figbt them on multiple fronts .

      • FlorianGeyer

Put all the rotten eggs in one basket I think, then incinerate the lot.

      • Gregory Casey

I’ll be happy to press the button as I’m sure will you!!!

    • χρηστος

my guess is that SAA fights in too many fronts…the less the better…see how they lost eastern damascus in a couple of days….they cant fight everywhere…so they move them all to Idlib……then nuke them!

  • antoun

excellentes news the pocket of harasta will out!!! good!!!

  • Red Pilled ThoughtCrimes

    ghoutta librated?

    • antoun

      today at 75%!!!

      • χρηστος

yew but we lost almost the whole of eastern damascus with many casualties as well…..damn

        • antoun

          this the war!!

          • χρηστος

            sad but true

  • Mountains

I don’t see this happening if anything this is just another desparate fake media from the regime. I don’t see them leaving to be fairly honest come 48-72 hours later then it will settle in that this was weak propaganda that has no propose

    • AJ

You must be disappointed if its true though as you have supported these militants.

      • Mountains

I could care less if it was true. Just being authentic hence 90% of the reports coming from the regime is false nowdays and reeks from desparation

        • Concrete Mike

Rebels dont report much because they are getting their asses kicked. Hard to scream for help with saa’s dick in their mouths. Thats reality my son.

        • @Inc2Get

Pro-Jihadi Media claimed it was true, citing a Ahrar-Al Sham commander. Although the deal was expected to take place 2 days ago, other militant groups disrupted the negotiations by shelling Damascus but the mentioned commander assured the SAA that Ahrar-Al sham had nothing to do with that, hence why the deal is expected to take place.

On a side note, these are not rebels. Ahrar-Al Sham is a branch of Al Qaeda. Sickens me that people call these “rebels”! Would you accept these into your country?

        • Rüdiger Preiss

          Mountains is “authentic”? LMAO

          • goingbrokes

            Authentic excrement! :)

    • northerntruthseeker .

You back again, Hasbara agent “Mountains”? We thought you and your Israeli psychotic mentally disturbed coworkers would have disappeared by now!

    • kraaiiii

those 6000 civilians are probably relatives of the terrorist, their option is get killed and also some of their family. Or fight another day in illib

  • Starlight

Putin forcing Assad to let the terrorists go (just as America, Israel and Saudi Arabia demand), at the very moment they are on the verge of being wiped out.

These terrorists will immediately co-ordinate with their Britsih and American handlers, and become ‘sleeper cells’ for terror spectaculars in Syria for decades to come if they cannot immediately be reassigned to useful ‘fighting’.

America imprisons for life CHILDREN if they have murdered (or even executes them). These terrorists have all carried out atrocities that would put the worst serial killers to shame. No person ever executed in US history deserved death more than these wahhabi monsters- yet Putin forces Assad to let them run free.

Worse, the extended families of the terrorists are welcome in the West, with large bank accounts and places for their kids at the best universities, as their REWARD.

If they carry on fighting later, they MAY be killed- but they are just as likely to form sleeper cells and plan terror atrocities- especially car and truck bombs against soft civilian targets. Yet the zionist agents in this forum will, as usual, make every excuse for Putin.

    • Gregory Louis

What are you talking about XD they’re being sent to Idlibstan to fight among themselves if you don’t think that’s brilliant than your delusional, this Operation frees up men on those Frontlines, helps civi’s evacuate, and pushes the liberation even faster

    • @Inc2Get

Hahahahaha no, Assad is shortening the front line. Soon, all the small pockets will be wiped out, including that eye pocking ISIS pocket in the desert. After that, the SAA can re deploy over 40k troops to Idlib and the jihadis won’t last a single day without being exterminated.

  • BlueOctopusBoy

They will join the Turkish FSA and continue militant activities against the Syrian state from another vector with protection and impunity.

    • goingbrokes

Yes they will, but they can’t fire mortars and rockets into the Syrian capital and its civilians.

  • Xanatos

Give them 24 hours from yesterday midnight.

  • Feudalism Victory

    Round 2

  • Are there any other Orc gangs in Harasta?

  • χρηστος

all orcs going to Idlib…..then what?is it easier to kill them i guess there…. Idlib. will be the final battle.

  • Shakeel Haider

    From the government’s bombardment.

  • Smaug

Over time it has become apparent to me that Assad’s current strategem is to establish total control over the greater Damascus area to serve as a secure and stable base for his overall war effort.

    • neil barron

US wanted to keep Eastern Ghouta in turmoil and didn’t care if there are dead people involved.
That way if Assad couldn’t keep the center of Syria safe he couldn’t hold an election.
They where hoping for a turn around with their jets and missile providing back up.

  • Bob

    Hast(ar)a la vista, al-Sham.
